"Do Espers experience personality changes when they awaken as one?"
Just as the nurse had warned him not to strain his voice, Rim Young spoke up in his extremely low and hoarse voice. The male nurse deadpanned at him. Fortunately, he didn't lash out. It took him a moment, but then the nurse answered Rim Young's question with unexpected enthusiasm.
"Yes. Definitely."
He leaned back slightly.
"They all become insane, I believe."
"..."
Perhaps asking this particular person hadn't been the best idea. But this was the medical office responsible for S-Class Espers and their guides, so it wasn't as if Rim Young could simply go somewhere else and ask another nurse.
"You must be thinking that not all Espers seem that way," the nurse continued, apparently taking Rim Young's silence as interest. "But trust me, from my experience, I can tell you this even without looking at any research. All Espers have something wrong with them."
Rim Young's expression slowly flattened.
