Kayla was sitting in the fifth row, next to her friend Maria, whom she had met on the first day of joining the academy. Kayla felt that something strange was happening; she noticed that the professor had become tense and was moving in a very unusual way.
Suddenly, he gathered his belongings and prepared to leave the classroom! This was extremely odd; nothing like this had ever happened before. But then he stopped, returned to the center of the room, raised his head, and said to everyone:
— Students! It has been a pleasure to share my experience with you. What I have presented to you was the only thing that made me forget the bitterness and harshness of life. But with some people, we decided to make the world a better place!
Then he added:
— Now, stand up!
Everyone stood, their feelings mixed, unable to comprehend what was happening. Then he said:
— Go to your rooms. There will be a meeting at 18:15.
And with that, the professor left the classroom.
Kayla realized that something suspicious was about to happen. She grabbed her friend's hand and said:
— Maria, is something wrong?
Kayla replied quickly:
— Hurry! Let's go to the room!
When she reached the room, she left Maria there and went to the place where she had hidden her phone. She turned it on, her hands trembling from fear… She felt that something very serious was happening!
She found a message from Julian, but she didn't notice it immediately. She hurried to call him, but Julian was in P.E. class, and the phone was not with him—he had hidden it in the restroom. She sent him a message:
— Julian, something is going to happen today! They want us to meet at 6:15. Please, call me!
When Kayla returned to the room, she found people conducting a search. There were two guards and a man dressed in black.
The man in black said:
— Are you Kayla?
She replied: Yes… What is going on?
The guards were ordered:
Grab her immediately! Hurry!
Without hesitation, Kayla sprinted down the corridor, dodging the guards, and ran toward one of the abandoned storage rooms inside the academy.
Maria didn't understand what was happening; she was with her classmates in the room.
The man in black ordered the guards to bring a bag. One of the guards brought it, and when it was opened, it contained a set of white syringes filled with a blue liquid!
Maria exclaimed:
— What is this?
The man in black said:
— Listen carefully! There are only two options, no third! Anyone who refuses the serum, he gestured with his advanced weapon, shoot them!
The guard replied: Understood, sir!
The three girls were injected one by one, and then it was Maria's turn. She stood in the room, thinking of a way to escape… but the door was blocked, and a weapon was aimed directly at her!
What do I do? What do I do? She whispered in fear.
The man in black approached her, holding a strange syringe. He reached out to grab her, but she pushed him and jumped out of the window, falling to the ground!
The man in black stuck his head out of the window to see Maria, who wasn't moving.
He ordered the guards:
Lock all the windows and doors!
The guards replied: Understood, sir!
A metal barrier was lowered over the window, and the doors were locked.
One of the guards was ordered to go and carry Maria's body to the special storage.
The guard went to the landing spot, but to his surprise… Maria wasn't there! He called the man in black and said:
Sir, she's not here!
The man in black shouted:
She is still alive! Search for her and her friend immediately! I want them in front of me before the meeting, understood?
The guard: Understood, sir!
The guard gathered a team of seven experienced guards and said:
This mission must be completed quickly! It's a direct order from the head of the guards himself!
They began the search operation, using strange devices, and within seconds, they pinpointed Kayla and Maria's locations.
The guard shouted:
Hey, you two! Look… Maria is behind the large trash container, behind a small tree! She is severely injured and almost useless. If you encounter any trouble with her, shoot! Understood?
The guards: Understood, sir!
They ran toward the designated location.
Kayla was in the scrap warehouse, terrified beyond belief.
At the academy, Shon was sitting in the café when a girl approached him and whispered something in his ear. Immediately, he ran off to find Julian and Marcus.
He found them just after finishing their P.E. class. Shon said:
Hurry! We need to move now!
Julian asked: What happened?
Shon replied: They are going to carry out the operation today!
Julian ran quickly to the place where he had hidden his phone. He found more than eighty missed calls from Kayla! He nearly panicked from fear for her safety and immediately called her.
Julian: Kayla, are you okay?
Kayla, in a weak voice, said: Where have you been? I almost went crazy! I called you a thousand times, but you didn't answer!
Julian: I'm sorry… I'm very sorry! Where are you? What happened?
Kayla: Something is happening today… They injected everyone with some serum! They're preparing something dangerous here!
Julian: Did they inject you, too?
Kayla: No… I escaped from them! Please don't let them!
Julian: Alright… where are you now?
Kayla: I'm in a large scrap warehouse!
Julian: Okay… stay there. I'm coming!
Shon said: We need to move now! There's no time to waste!
Julian: Marcus, listen… things have become dangerous! Kayla is in danger, and we have to help her!
Marcus: We definitely will!
It was still daytime, and students were allowed outside at that hour. They moved slowly to avoid drawing attention and entered the warehouse, quickly heading toward the tunnel exit. They passed through the tunnel toward the garden…, but if they emerged, they would be spotted!
Shon: I have an idea… wait here!
Marcus went out of the tunnel alone and approached a small warehouse near the garden. It was unguarded. He opened the door and entered… inside were guards' uniforms and three sets of clothing along with a note.
Marcus returned to Julian and Shon, giving them the uniforms. They quickly dressed as guards.
Julian didn't hesitate. He put on the uniform and asked Shon:
Which way to the scrap warehouse?
Shon: About six hundred meters north.
The three of them moved confidently toward the warehouse, but they were racing against time because the guard team had already arrived. They forced the door open.
The lead guard shouted:
Kayla! I know you're behind that blue car… Come out now! Nothing bad will happen if you cooperate, but if you resist… I warn you! No mercy! Come out immediately!
He signaled the accompanying guards to spread out and trap her in the middle. The guards moved quickly.
The lead guard shouted: This is your final warning… we will open fire!
Then the chief guard signaled: Stop! He added:
Come on… come out. We won't hurt you!
Outside, Julian and his friends were waiting. In fact, Julian had sent a message to Kayla:
Buy some time!
That was why she decided to come out.
Shon: What's the plan now? There are five of them!
Marcus pulled out a small, very sharp knife and said:
The guard over there seems isolated from his colleagues.
Julian: No, that's too risky!
Marcus: If I handle him, we can save Kayla!
He handed the knife to Julian and said: Wait for my signal.
Marcus approached from the opposite side, moving slowly until he reached behind the guard. With a sudden movement, he broke the guard's neck, dropping him to the ground, and took his weapon, standing ready.
Kayla moved toward the chief guard. Marcus gave a signal to Julian and Shon. In a flash, they opened fire on the guards, one by one!
Meanwhile, Julian and Shon attacked the chief guard from behind. Julian pressed the knife to the back of his head and said:
I suggest you surrender!
The chief guard raised his hands above his head, laughing:
You'll regret this!
Shon tied him up and gagged him. Kayla ran to Julian, embracing him, tears of fear in her eyes:
What is happening? This is unbelievable! It can't be happening!
Julian: Don't be afraid… I'm with you now.
Marcus: What's the plan now?
Shon: Tell us! You're the one who shot and put us in this huge mess! Hundreds of guards are searching for us everywhere!
Marcus: Shon… one day I'll break your nose!
Shon: Why not now? Go ahead!
Julian: Enough! We need to think of a solution!
Kayla: I don't know… What happened to Maria?
Julian: Who is Maria?
Kayla: She's my friend… When she escaped the room, she was still there. I hope nothing bad happened to her!
Julian approached the chief guard and asked:
Where is Maria?
The chief guard laughed wickedly:
She's probably dead by now!
Julian: What do you mean?
Kayla: No… impossible!
Chief Guard: She jumped from the window. Two guards are heading toward her to finish the mission!
Shon took the tracking device used by the guards, scanned the area, and pinpointed Maria's location.
He said: She's there! Near the garden… she's still alive but moving with difficulty.
Kayla: We have to help her!
