At the bustling intersection, the crowd that was originally milling about was now like ants in a stirred-up pot, fleeing frantically in all directions.
Several large, hideous low-grade cursed spirits were perched on the outer walls of tall buildings, emitting hair-raising roars.
Although ordinary people could not see cursed spirits,
the soul-deep fear and oppression, combined with the inexplicably shattering glass and collapsing streetlights, were enough to throw them into a complete panic.
In the center of this chaos, a man in a wide black robe with long hair stood quietly in the middle of the road.
It was Suguru Geto, who had already taken over the Star Religious Group and fully cemented his identity as a Special Grade Curse User!
With his hands tucked into his sleeves, he watched the ordinary people pushing and even trampling each other in fear with cold eyes, a smirk of blatant mockery curling on his lips.
"What a bunch of ugly monkeys."
Geto's voice was not loud, but wrapped in cursed energy, it clearly echoed through the entire block.
The reason he risked being hunted down by the higher-ups to appear here was to complete the final step of the plan.
He had to completely sever all ties with his past in front of everyone, especially in front of that man!
Boom!
Just then, a sonic boom like thunder exploded in the sky!
Following that, a tall and slender figure crashed heavily onto the ground ten meters in front of Geto, like a falling meteorite.
A violent shockwave of cursed energy instantly sent the surrounding cars flying!
As the dust settled, the iconic pale white hair was revealed, along with those Six Eyes hidden behind black sunglasses that still radiated terrifying pressure.
Satoru Gojo had arrived!
The two stood ten meters apart on the wreckage-strewn street, facing each other from a distance.
The temperature in the air seemed to drop to freezing at this moment, and even the wind stopped flowing.
Gojo stared intently at Geto, his hands unconsciously clenching into fists.
Even though he knew every detail of the plan, even though this was just an act,
seeing Geto wearing those robes that symbolized his status as the leader of the Star Religious Group and seeing the malicious cursed spirits surrounding him caused Gojo's heart to twitch violently.
"
Gojo spoke slowly, his voice carrying a hint of unavoidable hoarseness and pain.
"Are you really going down that path?"
Half of this question was for the eyes and ears of the higher-ups hidden in the shadows, but the other half was Gojo's heartfelt reluctance.
Facing Gojo's question, Geto's eyes did not flicker in the slightest.
He didn't even look surprised by Gojo's appearance; he merely tilted his chin up slightly and looked at the other man with extremely cold eyes.
His Oscar-worthy performance was on full display at this moment.
"Satoru, you've arrived at the perfect time," Geto said coldly, his tone carrying the aloofness of one who had seen through everything.
"Look at the monkeys around you."
"Ignorant, greedy, selfish, and cowardly."
"We sorcerers bleed and sacrifice every day to protect creatures that are worse than trash, swallowing cursed spirits that taste like vomit every single day."
Geto suddenly threw his arms wide, his expression becoming almost manic.
"This dog shit of a world has no value in existing!"
"I will create my own justice!"
"I will create a world where only sorcerers exist!"
Hearing Geto's mad declaration, Gojo gritted his teeth.
"Have you lost your mind?!"
Gojo stepped forward, violent cursed energy surging wildly around his body.
"For such a ridiculous reason, you'd kill your own parents? You'd slaughter innocent villagers?!"
"Suguru, you're too arrogant!"
"Arrogant?" Geto sneered.
"Satoru, you're the one who's truly arrogant."
"You possess the power to easily change the world, yet you're content to be a dog for those rotten oranges."
"Since you're unwilling to do it, then I will!"
The moment his words fell, Geto waved his hand.
Several Grade 1 cursed spirits hidden in the shadows suddenly lunged, pouncing toward Gojo like lightning!
"Don't test me!"
Gojo roared. Without even moving a finger, he instantly activated his Limitless technique.
When the lunging cursed spirits touched the space around Gojo, it was as if they had hit an invisible wall; they were instantly crushed into a shower of gore by the terrifying repulsive force!
However, this was merely a diversion.
The moment the cursed spirits were crushed, Geto closed the distance!
Without any flashy cursed technique clashes, the two directly engaged in the most primal and brutal physical combat!
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Fists and feet collided, creating deafening booms.
Every time they clashed, a massive crater was stamped into the ground.
The surrounding buildings swayed under the force of the terrifying impact, looking as if they might collapse at any moment.
To an outsider, it looked like a desperate life-and-death struggle between two Special Grade Sorcerers.
But in reality, in the moments their bodies crossed, they communicated silently in a way only they could understand.
'Your movements are too stiff, Satoru. Are you trying to tickle me?'
Geto swept a roundhouse kick toward Gojo's neck, whispering in a low voice at the same time.
'Shut up! I'm afraid I'll accidentally kill you!'
Gojo raised his arm to block the strike and used the momentum to punch toward Geto's chest.
'Make it look real. The higher-ups' spies are still watching.'
Geto used the force of Gojo's punch to slide back several meters, landing steadily on the ground.
He reached up to wipe a trace of blood from the corner of his mouth, his expression becoming even more twisted.
"Satoru, you can't stop me," Geto said with a cold laugh.
"One day, I will completely subvert this hypocritical world."
Gojo panted heavily, his eyes filled with anger, disappointment, and a hint of despair.
He slowly raised his right hand.
His index and middle fingers pressed together, pointing at Geto.
A ball of blinding red light condensed frantically at his fingertips—the Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!
The terrifying fluctuations of cursed energy caused the air in all of Shinjuku to warp violently.
The spies hidden in the shadows watched this scene, their eyes widening with excitement.
'Do it! Satoru Gojo!'
'Kill that traitor!'
However, facing the terrifying energy that could instantly blast him into dust, Geto did not dodge.
He just looked at Gojo quietly, his eyes carrying a hint of provocation and absolute trust.
Time seemed to stop at this moment.
Gojo's finger trembled slightly.
The red light danced wildly at his fingertips, but it never fired.
Images of the two of them messing around on the school field flashed through his mind, followed by memories of them protecting Riko and the plan Instructor Yoru had told them that night in front of the shrine.
"Whew..."
After a long silence.
Gojo let out a long, heavy breath.
The terrifying red light at his fingertips vanished without a trace, melting away like snow in the sun.
He slowly lowered his arm.
"Get out of here."
Gojo turned his back to Geto, his voice cold enough to make one feel as if they had fallen into an ice cellar.
"Before I change my mind, get as far away as possible."
Seeing this, the spies in the shadows were all dumbfounded.
Gojo actually let Geto go?!
Geto looked at Gojo's back, a faint, imperceptible smile flickering in the depths of his eyes.
He without another word, he turned and summoned a flying cursed spirit.
"Satoru, the next time we meet, we will be true enemies."
After leaving that cold line, Geto stepped onto the cursed spirit and soared into the sky, quickly disappearing over the horizon.
A deathly silence returned to the streets of Shinjuku.
All that remained was a landscape of ruins and a solitary white figure standing in the middle of the road.
Gojo looked up in the direction Geto had disappeared.
The sky was gloomy, as if it were about to press down.
After a long while, Gojo finally lowered his head.
Behind his sunglasses, the Six Eyes flickered with complex emotions that were impossible to decipher.
"Don't die, you bastard."
Gojo cursed under his breath, in a voice only he could hear.
The play was over, and the noisy streets of Shinjuku returned to a deathly stillness.
Gojo stood alone in the center of the ruins, letting the cold wind ruffle his white hair, but the faint smile at the corner of his mouth held a heart-pounding sense of madness.
On the other side of the city, Geto walked into the moonlight, entering the headquarters of the religious group that was about to change masters.
Two completely different lives converged at this moment.
And at this very moment, they split decisively, rushing toward a common future capable of rewriting everything.
