Chapter 1 - The light in the little camera

In a small town filled with red dust roads and evening laughter, there lived a young boy named Felix . Felix didn't have much—no expensive clothes, no big house—but he had something special: a small, old camera his uncle had given him.

The camera wasn't perfect. Its lens was slightly cracked, and sometimes it refused to turn on. But to Felix,it was the most valuable thing in the world.

Every day after school, while other children played football, Felix would walk around the town capturing moments—women laughing at the market, children chasing each other, the golden sunset resting on rooftops. He didn't just take pictures; he told stories without words.

One day, a big church program was announced in the town. People were excited—there would be music, dancing, and visitors from different places.Felix felt something stirring in his heart.

"I want to capture this," he said quietly to himself.

But there was a problem. His camera had stopped working completely.

For days, Felix tried everything he could. He cleaned it, tapped it, even prayed over it. Nothing happened. The night before the program, he sat outside, staring at the silent camera.

"Maybe I'm not meant to do this," he whispered.

Just then, his neighbor, an elderly man named Mr. Joshua, walked by.

"Why do you look like the world has ended?" he asked.

Felix explained everything. Mr. Joshua smiled gently.

"Sometimes," he said, "the light you need isn't in the camera—it's in you."

The next morning, Felix went to the program anyway. Without a working camera, he simply watched. But instead of feeling sad, he began to notice more—the joy on faces, the tears during prayers, the unity of people singing together.

And then, something unexpected happened.

A media team from the city noticed him moving around, observing everything so carefully.

"Are you a photographer?" one of them asked.

Felix hesitated. "I… I try to be."

"Come help us," the man said, handing him a spare camera.

Felix`s heart raced. With shaking hands, he began to take pictures—and this time, something felt different. He wasn't just pressing a button; he was capturing emotions, stories, life.

At the end of the day, the team leader looked through his photos and was amazed.

"You have an eye," he said. "A rare one."

From that day on, Felix`s journey began. What started with a broken camera became a path to purpose.

And he never forgot what Mr.Joshua said—that the true light was never in the camera.

It was always in him. ✨
