"Has she contacted you today?", Shion asked in a concerned voice.
"No. She hasn't.", Yui replied. Shion looked even more worried. "I've already talked with Mei and Jin and they haven't gotten anything either. What happened yesterday!?"
"You're worried that it failed and something happened to her? Maybe even her-"
Shion, while looking offended, replied, "No! That's ridiculous! That couldn't be... Alright, I'm sending you back now. Stay on lookout for the eagle."
Yui nodded. SHRRRM!
"Alright, alright... I'm done.", Yui said as she stepped out of the restroom.
"You sure took your time, Yui.", Sora replied. Yui looked at her, expressionless, and said, "Sorry."
"..."
Sora rushed to her and gave her a tight hug. "Awww! You're just too cute to be mad at! Alright, let's get the cafeteria!" Yui, in a muffled voice, replied, "Stop."
The girls headed to the cafeteria and ordered their food. Immediately when entering, Yui started to get nasty looks from the other students there. Yui was an extremely pretty girl and for that, the other girls were jealous of her. On top of that, Yui was very quiet and reserved. Except her 3 friends, the girls got the cold shoulder from her when they had tried to approach her. They all assumed that she thought of herself as high and mighty and that she believed that they weren't worthy to be her friends.
As they were walking to their table, Yuki leaned in towards Yui and said, "Ignore them, they're just jealous of how cute and awesome you are." Yui nodded. Sora made an angry expression towards them and Hana looked concerned for Yui, she also felt uncomfortable from the gazes of all those eyes.
They got to their table and started chatting about random things like they always did.
"Did you guys see the new episode of Kingdom Seeking!?", Yuki shouted with excitement.
Sora replied, "Oh my god, yes! Koko-kun was so fucking hot when he saved those girls! That scene did things to me..."
"Did things...?", Hana said slowly in a confused voice. The 3 stared at each other and after a sudden silence, they burst into laughter.
Yui sat there, still expressionless, lost in thought. "Why do these girls hang out with me? I'm quiet and have nothing to add to these conversations, I'm a complete bore. I should have no value to them yet they spend time with me, they care for me, they stick up for me and they... Do they love me?"
"Yui-chan? What's wrong? You look like you're wondering about something.", Hana said.
"Uhh... I like good things but I don't like bad things.", Yui replied in a monotone voice. Hearing her, everyone burst into laughter again. Yuki starting pinching Yui's cheeks and said "You're so darn cute!"
"I- Uhh-" Yui didn't know how to respond. Even after months of this, she would still get flustered from getting called cute by her friends. "Aww!", All three of them said.
After finishing their meal, they began heading back to class. "Oi, do you guys wanna meet up after school today? Lets go shopping together!"
"Yeah yeah! Lets go!", Yuki shouted. Hana looked as if she was trying to hide her excitement and said, "I'd love to." Yui didn't say anything. "You don't wanna come, Yui?", Sora asked concerned.
"No, I don't."
Yuki looked upset. "Come on, Yui! Please? Its been so long since we hung out together..."
"Yeah, Yui-chan. I'm sure it'll be lots of fun.", Hana said while looking at Yui with puppy eyes. Yui's heart was melted. "Fine... I'll come as well."
"Yay!!", Yuki shouted. Yuki and Sora both grabbed onto Yui. "We're gonna have lots of fun today, Yuki!", Sora said with a huge grin on her face.
"I'm looking forward to it.", Yui said with an almost unnoticeable smile.
After school at around 4:00 PM, Yui was standing in front of her mirror trying out outfits for her shopping trip with her friends.
"I wonder, does this look good? I have the memories of my host, she didn't like it but I think it suits her body."
"Awww...! Are you dressing up for a date?", Yui's brother, Minato, mockingly said while standing on the doorway.
Yui, with a completely monotone voice and expressionless face, replied, "No, I'm preparing to go shopping with my friends."
Minato looked weirded out. "Wha- Uhh- What happened to you!? You're no fun anymore!", He said and stormed off. Yui watched him angrily leave with confusion. "What is his deal?"
The 4 had agreed to meet in front of Shibuya 109, the mall they were going to shop at, that was located by the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Even though the judgement and the stares from the other students at her school never bothered her, walking through Shibuya in the outfit she had picked out herself made her oddly nervous. She was wearing a cute yellow dress and yellow floral clips.
"Oi Yui! You made it 10 mins early! You must've been excited, huh?", Sora, who was already there waiting, shouted.
"You must've been too."
"Of course I was! Hanging out with my best pals is the best thing in the world!", Sora shouted with immense enthusiasm. She was a very outgoing girl that didn't care for anyone she didn't care for.
"You shouldn't be shouting so loudly, there are other people here."
"Come on, Yui! Who cares!?"
Some random dude among the crowd started to looked pissed. "That loud ass annoying bitch...", He whispered.
Sora heard it and immediately shouted, "Oi! What did you say, you son of a bitch!?" The guy got scared and blended into the crowd.
"Calm down, Sora.", Yui said with the slightest bit of concern in her voice. Sora noticed and tightly hugged her. "If you say so, cutie!"
"Hey! Why're you here hugging her by yourself!? I need to hug her too!", Yuki who had just arrived shouted. She ran straight towards Yui and began hugging her too. Hana also arrived and say the 2 tightly hugging Yui.
"You've arrived too, Hana-chan."
"Yeah, Yui-chan. You look really cute!"
Yui became surprisingly happy from that and said, "Thank you... You do too."
After seeing that Sora and Yuki were still hugging Yui, Hana began thinking it herself. "I guess I should join in too, I don't wanna be left out."
Yui noticed what she was about to do. "Wait, Hana-chan. I'm already-"
Hana tightly hugged onto her as well and now, all three of them were hugging Yui. They were looking completely ridiculous right next to the crossing causing all the people walking through to be staring at them. Yui's nervousness had grown even more.
From the sky, a dark eagle watched this sight of Yui and her dear friends.
