Chapter 121 - Chapter 121: Fulfilling the Promise

Fu Hua watched Shun leave, only turning to look at Seele after the other party had completely disappeared from her sight.

"Seele, you…" Fu Hua looked at her little disciple, momentarily not knowing what to say.

In truth, Fu Hua had always known that Seele's feelings toward Shun had shown some signs of changing in nature. After all, they were not blood-related siblings, and both were her disciples.

So Fu Hua had actually always felt that if Seele really ended up with Shun, it would be a good thing—internal digestion, so to speak.

As a result, she never expected that Shun was still hiding such a big move, without revealing even the slightest hint beforehand.

"It's fine, Sister Fu Hua. Since Brother has someone he likes, Seele is also very happy…" Seele forced herself to smile, but no matter how one looked at it, it didn't seem like a real smile.

"How about the other me? How are you feeling?" Seele then asked the other self in her heart, because she seemed to like Brother a little more than herself.

"Tch, why are you asking me? Isn't he just getting married? With that personality of his, even if you max out the favorability, he wouldn't dare refuse."

The other Seele said indifferently. Compared to this, what actually concerned her more were the sudden memories that appeared when Seele had touched the Abyss Flower earlier.

"Anyway, don't take marriage too seriously…" She thought for a moment and muttered, "It's not like we haven't been married before…"

Compared to Seele, the other her appeared much calmer. However, the current Seele could only classify it as the other her simply being much more mature than herself.

Although the other her had said that, was it really okay to still go disturb others when she clearly knew that Brother was about to get married?

If only I weren't just Brother's little sister!

The perspective returned to Shun's side. Although the Abyss Flower often caused trouble, it was still quite obedient—at least it would listen as soon as he spoke.

"Next…" Shun glanced at the map provided by Theresa. In front of him was a stretch of villas; this was the faculty dormitory of St. Freya.

It could only be said that Theresa was someone who didn't lack money; the accommodations arranged for the school teachers were all villas.

Shun followed the map and walked straight to a house that looked no different from the surrounding buildings.

What should he do next? Shun was somewhat unsure—should he just knock on the door as if nothing had happened, or…

There was clearly nothing in his hands, yet Shun felt as if something weighing a thousand catties was pressing down on them.

In the end, Shun still decided to just knock on the door directly. He stopped thinking about any dramatic entrance methods; he was Shun, not Vill-V.

"Knock knock knock…" Shun knocked on the door three times.

"Coming." A familiar, gentle voice came through, followed by the sound of footsteps from behind the door.

With a click, the villa door was opened by Ana. A pair of captivating pink pupils appeared before Shun's eyes. The next moment, when she clearly saw who had come, those eyes that seemed capable of speaking lit up with visible joy.

"I'm back." At the moment he saw Ana, a heart that had been restless finally calmed down completely.

"You're back? …Oh my, why are you crying?" Only then did Ana react. She took a step forward and pulled Shun into her embrace.

"There, there, why are you crying? You're a man." Ana wasn't very good at comforting people. Besides holding Shun and gently patting his back, she didn't know what else to do.

"I thought you were still going to hide from me…"

"What are you saying? How could I possibly hide from you? Clearly you were the one hiding from me, okay?" At this point, Ana couldn't help feeling a little angry.

Look at any newly engaged couple—who would cut off contact for half a year right after getting engaged? The time they had known each other was shorter than the time they had been apart.

"I'm sorry. But I probably won't leave again." Yes, everything was over. All the unstable factors that could disturb his normal life were temporarily gone.

"Mhm, then from now on, stay obediently by my side, okay?" Ana patted Shun's head and said.

"Okay." Shun nodded and followed Ana into the house. He hadn't expected that even though he had never been to this house before, Ana had still prepared slippers for him.

After passing through the entrance and the hallway, they arrived at the living room. The first-floor living room was very large. In addition to the most classic furnishings, there was also a fireplace, an open kitchen, and a dining table.

They sat down on the sofa, and for a moment, neither knew what to say again.

"You speak first?"

"You speak first?" The two asked in unison.

Shun scratched his head and decided to take the initiative. "Well, um… hey, Ana, how have these past few months been for you at St. Freya?"

"Very good. Principal Theresa has been taking very good care of me. In fact, she's been a bit overly enthusiastic toward me."

"Is that so?" As expected, Theresa would become overly enthusiastic as soon as anything involving Cecilia was concerned.

"Oh right, because the Far East Branch has very few deployment missions, I've even become a teacher at the academy!"

After all, other branches each oversaw an entire continent, while the Far East Branch's jurisdiction was only the small Far East region. Moreover, its configuration was no weaker than the others. Although Theresa had retired, she was still a former S-rank Valkyrie.

"You became a teacher? Then… Teacher Ana, what are you teaching?"

"Of course I'm a practical combat training teacher. I am an A-rank elite Valkyrie after all. Teaching Valkyrie trainees is the easiest thing. Also…"

On the sofa, Ana spoke animatedly to Shun about her experiences over the past few months. It looked like she had really been doing very well these days.

Since that was the case, Shun felt relieved. Logically speaking, Ana was an adult after all. At the very beginning, it had been Ana who had always taken care of Shun, but now the roles had completely reversed.

"It's getting late. Let's fulfill the promise!" Shun glanced at the time on the wall clock. If they considered going to Himeko's house for dinner, they could set off soon.

"Eh, promise…" Ana was stunned for a moment, then seemed to remember something. Her cheeks instantly turned red.

"Okay." Ana closed her eyes as if resigning herself to fate, waiting for Shun's action. Although she had been the one to take the initiative last time, in the current situation, how could she have the nerve to do so again.

"Then here I come." The two were already sitting very close. After Shun moved a little closer, they were practically pressed together.

Ana's chestnut-colored long hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall, smooth and glossy, as if gently brushed by a breeze, sparkling with a charming luster. Every strand of hair looked so delicate, like carefully woven satin.

Her exquisitely sculpted face featured a tall yet delicate and exquisite nose that was perfectly placed. The bridge of her nose was straight and beautiful, and the slight movement of her nostrils added a touch of playfulness and cuteness. Her slightly pouted lips were as alluring as ripe cherries.

Shun slightly bent down and kissed her.
