"Oh, my dear Old Yang, are you trying to laugh me to death so you can inherit the Divine Keys on me?" Shun had originally thought Old Yang came to seek common ground while reserving differences and to seek cooperation with him.
He never expected Old Yang to say something so shocking, actually planning to directly lead the Anti-Entropy conservative faction in defecting over.
"Shun, I am not joking. The purpose of my visit this time is indeed to lead Anti-Entropy's conservative faction in joining St. Freya."
Old Yang repeated it again. This resolute attitude made Shun feel that perhaps he really wasn't joking.
"Old Yang, it's not that I don't trust you, but have you discussed this with the executives of your conservative faction this time? Don't go representing the conservative faction again just because of a disagreement."
Given the other party's history during the Second Eruption of casually representing all of humanity without asking whether the six billion people in the world at the time were willing to be represented, Shun couldn't help but worry that Old Yang's old illness had relapsed.
"Rest assured, I have discussed it with Einstein, Tesla, Ryoma, and the others. Our conservative faction has always loved peace and wants to resist Honkai with the smallest losses possible. As long as we don't have to work under Otto, we can accept it."
After saying this, Old Yang suddenly seemed much older. In fact, compared to Joyce, the founding Sovereign who had passed away before Anti-Entropy was formally established, he was the only true Sovereign of Anti-Entropy in the real sense.
From the moment he became the Herrscher of Reason as a child, he had been fighting for Anti-Entropy and for humanity's future. This organization was built by him from nothing and carefully managed until now. It seemed the time had come to say goodbye.
"In the years of Anti-Entropy's continuous expansion, in order to resist Schicksal's forces, we abandoned too many things that should not have been abandoned, allowing someone like Cocolia to seize great power for a time. Now, Anti-Entropy should return to the original intention it had when it was founded."
Hearing Old Yang's lament, Shun gently patted his shoulder and comforted him: "The veterans of your Anti-Entropy are all scientists who only know how to bury their heads in research. The only two with leadership ability, Princess Nancy and Joyce, have both passed away one after another. In terms of developing the organization, you indeed aren't very good at it."
Old Yang's mouth twitched unnaturally. He thought to himself, are you comforting people or rubbing salt in the wound? The passing of Nancy, the actual leader, and Joyce, the spiritual leader, were definitely Anti-Entropy's two greatest losses.
After losing its leaders, the fate of this newborn organization, Anti-Entropy, was destined to fail. Even in the plot, the Anti-Entropy conservative faction later merged into the Far East Branch.
Although they had ridden Theresa's coattails and become meritorious ministers, the fact that an Anti-Entropy that had broken away from Schicksal to stand on its own later merged back into Schicksal meant that as an organization, Anti-Entropy had completely failed.
"Sigh, rest assured, Old Yang. Although you have lost them, you still have me. Although I'm not really good leadership material either, at least I won't lead you all into the gutter."
"I hope so…" Old Yang sighed. Shun was definitely a good person, just sometimes too abnormal.
However, compared to a hypocritical guy like Otto, Shun—who only occasionally went crazy—was still pretty good. At least he wouldn't say "Herrscher of Reason, I am not lying" and then shoot you.
It was precisely because Old Yang had seen the forces around Shun at St. Freya growing stronger day by day, with the powerful combatants around him reaching a level that could no longer be ignored, and with Anti-Entropy suffering heavy losses, that he realized he could no longer continue waiting and decided to place his bet on Shun.
As if suddenly remembering something, Old Yang took out a purple-black sphere and handed it to Shun. "Consider this as a token of my sincerity."
"This is… Eden's Star?" Shun took the heavy Divine Key. Although the simulated Eden's Star had always been Old Yang's main means of attack, this one was undoubtedly the real thing.
It was precisely because the Honkai energy reaction of the Herrscher Gem at Eden's Star's core could not be faked.
"Correct, it seems you really do recognize Eden's Star." Welt was not surprised that Shun recognized Eden's Star. From the intelligence he possessed, Shun knew many pieces of information unknown to ordinary people. Combined with his apparent spatial abilities.
According to Einstein's analysis, Shun might possess the Second Divine Key, Cosmic Juggernaut, and through observation of parallel worlds that developed in directions extremely similar to this world, he could foresee and know this information.
If Shun knew about Einstein's guess, he would probably loudly praise it. Although the process might not be normal, the conclusion was correct.
Shun's intelligence was indeed obtained through observation of worlds extremely similar in development to this one. It couldn't be said that Einstein's guess was wrong. After all, with only the few clues in her hands, she could associate it to this extent. She truly deserved to be called a true wise person.
If Einstein had been willing to shoulder the banner and serve as Anti-Entropy's Sovereign, she might have truly accomplished something. Unfortunately, after Joyce's passing, Einstein had also become somewhat depressed and only trained Old Yang while researching the Moonlight Throne.
"Eden's Star…" Shun played with this Divine Key that had extremely high screen time in the plot, then asked Old Yang.
"Old Yang, do you know? This weapon was originally called Star Sea Harmony."
"Star Sea Harmony? But ever since this Divine Key was excavated by Anti-Entropy at the beginning of the last century, it has always been called Eden's Star."
"Actually, the name Eden's Star was given by another pioneer of the Previous Era to commemorate its previous owner, the most dazzling star of the Previous Era's Golden Age—Miss Eden—so it was renamed."
"Star?" Old Yang naturally knew about Previous Era matters, but the content Shun spoke of clearly exceeded his knowledge. For example, who was Eden? Why could a star possess a weapon like a Divine Key?
However, thinking of his favorite singer as a child, the magical girl Teriri, who seemed to be Theresa and who also held Judah, he felt that a singer holding a Divine Key wasn't that strange.
"After all, singing can't save the world. This world isn't Macross, where songs can save the world."
"Hiss, however, your Anti-Entropy's restoration method might have issues, causing Eden's Star's power to not be fully liberated. I'll take it to World Serpent for repairs another day."
When Shun was at World Serpent before, he had seen the blueprints for the Divine Keys and naturally noticed some differences between the Eden's Star in his hand and the original Star Sea Harmony. After all, this Divine Key was either broken or on the way to being broken.
It had been shattered who knows how many times over the years and could still be repaired. Anti-Entropy really had their ways.
"No problem. Regardless of whether it's called Eden's Star or Star Sea Harmony, this Divine Key will be yours from now on. I hope you can make good use of it."
"Of course. I can't do something like letting a pearl gather dust." Shun happily put away Eden's Star. What happened today was completely an unexpected joy. Not only did he gain Anti-Entropy's conservative faction, but he also gained another Divine Key.
"Tomorrow I'll take you to find Theresa. Just reveal your identity then, and leave the rest to me!" Shun gave Old Yang a thumbs up, indicating no problem.
"Uh, why tomorrow?" Old Yang had gotten up especially early today specifically to wait for Shun. Now that the matter was settled, shouldn't they act immediately to avoid any complications in between?
"Mm-hmm." The supreme edition gift box for Kallen Fantasy 2014 Latest Remastered Edition reappeared in Shun's hands.
"Guess what I was originally planning to do today?"
