Sorry for not posting for past few days.
I took my colleague's shift too, as he had some urgent business at his home.
So, I was working two shifts: mine and his.
That is why I was tired and had no time to upload anything.
But he is back now, so I don't have to overtime myself.
Btw, he works in sample collecting department, meaning, he takes blood from the patients.
So, while I was working his shift, I have to say, I met some crazy people who apparently thinks that they know more than the professional practitioners.
I literally have to keep my nerves check so that I won't just lash out on them.
My senior, who was calling in the patients to give the blood samples, just told me that I'll get used to it.
I just gave her a deadpan look, which she wholeheartedly ignored.
This is my life now.

6:15 PM (LOGUETOWN)—
"WOAH!!! So this is what the King of the Pirates saw just before he died!"
Luffy stood atop the execution platform, arms outstretched as if he could embrace the entire sky. The wind tugged at his red vest, and for a moment, his silhouette against the darkening clouds resembled a ghost.
He pressed down his straw hat, fingers resting on the brim, and gazed toward the distant shore where the sea swallowed the sun.
"Man, what a view!" he muttered, a grin stretching from ear to ear.
"HEY, YOU!!! GET DOWN FROM THERE RIGHT NOW!!"
A voice cracked through the plaza below. Luffy blinked and looked down. A crowd had gathered at the base of the platform, and at the front, a man in a police uniform was holding a microphone and waving at him.
"Huh? But why?" Luffy called back, genuinely confused.
"THAT'S THE SPECIAL EXECUTION SCAFFOLD!! IT BELONGS TO THE WORLD GOVERNMENT!!! IF THEY FIND OUT YOU TRESPASSED ON THEIR PROPERTY, YOU'LL BE IN BIG TROUBLE, KID. SO GET DOWN NOW—"
The man never finished his words. A massive iron mace swung through the air with a sound like a falling church bell, striking him squarely in the ribs and sending him sideways into a fruit stand.
The crowd froze for exactly one heartbeat before scattering like roaches in sudden light, their screams tearing through the plaza.
"I've found you at last, Monkey D Luffy!!!"
The voice was silk wrapped around iron. A tall woman in a white cloak strode through the chaos, dragging her iron mace behind her. She struck the cobblestones with it hard enough to crack them, then reached up and pulled back her hood.
The face beneath was stunningly beautiful.
She smiled up at him.
"Surely you haven't forgotten this face?!"
Luffy tilted his head and squinted, the gears in his brain turning with audible difficulty.
"Uhhh… who!?"
The woman's smile twitched as a muscle in her jaw tightened.
"Look at me. Have you really forgotten a beautiful woman like me?!"
She spun with arms outstretched, addressing the few people still in the plaza, mostly men who had frozen mid-retreat, their survival instincts momentarily losing a brief but decisive battle against their hormones. They stood slack-jawed, their eyes practically turning into cartoon hearts.
"Now tell me, boys, who is the most beautiful woman on the seas?"
"YOU ARE, MISS!!!" they chanted together, their voices overlapping in complete devotion.
Something clicked behind Luffy's eyes, and his pupils widened with recognition.
"NO WAY!!!" he jerked back dramatically, pointing down at her. "YOU'RE THAT WHALE LADY FROM BEFORE!! AVADA!!"
"IT'S ALVIDA, YOU DIMWIT!" the beautiful woman, Alvida, screamed, a vein throbbing on her forehead as if it had a pulse of its own. "AND I WAS NEVER A WHALE. I WAS JUST A LITTLE ON THE CHUBBY SIDE!"
Luffy looked down at her with a deadpan expression. "Yeah, sure, lady. Whatever helps you sleep at night."
A vein near Alvida's temple bulged dangerously. "Why you…" she began, but then, with visible effort, she inhaled deeply, held her breath, and exhaled. When her eyes opened again, the fury had softened into something almost calm.
"Well, your opinion means nothing to me." She waved a dismissive hand. Then her expression softened into something dreamier. "What I want to know is… where is that man!?"
"Who?!"
A sweet smile spread across Alvida's lips. "I'm talking about the love of my life, the only man who truly showed me what it means to be rough, the only man who has stolen my heart!"
"Lady, I have no idea what you're talking about. Be more specific."
"Why, of course…" She pressed her hands together, her eyes growing distant and dewy as she stared at something only she could see. "I'm talking about your vice-captain, Itadori Yuji. A handsome, strong man like him is the only one truly deserving of my unconditional love."
She squealed, a jarring sound coming from a woman who had just attacked a police officer with a medieval weapon.
Luffy's expression changed instantly; the carefree rubber boy was gone.
"HELL NO." His voice cut through the plaza like a blade. "Don't you dare get near my best friend."
Alvida's dreamy expression shattered. Her eyes blazed with a volcanic intensity.
"AND WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO GET IN THE WAY OF MY LOVE!?? YOU'RE JUST A BRAT WHO HYPNOTIZED MY YUJI-KUN INTO JOINING YOUR CREW."
"YOUR YUJI!?" Luffy's voice rose to match hers, crackling with an intensity that made the remaining onlookers step back several paces. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOUR YUJI!? YUJI IS HIS OWN PERSON. NEITHER YOU NOR I HAVE ANY CLAIM ON HIM. HE'S A FREE MAN. AND IF ANYONE TRIES TO TAKE MY FRIEND'S FREEDOM, I'LL KICK THEIR ASS SKY HIGH. GOT THAT, YOU WHALE LADY!?"
Alvida ground her teeth with an audible rasping sound.
"Why, you brat… you think that just because you have the highest bounty in the East Blue, you're invincible!? Well, no worries… I've made some new friends too!"
As if on cue, an explosion tore through the plaza entrance. The shockwave sent bodies tumbling like ragdolls.
"Looks like they're here. Fufufufu~~~ quite the dramatic entrance, partner."
Alvida turned toward the smoke; arms crossed in satisfaction. From the haze, a figure in a gray cloak emerged, dragging an unconscious policeman by the ankle like a suitcase. More cloaked figures appeared behind him, forming a small parade of menace.
"Well, what can I say… I'm a theatrical man. I like to show off now and then," the voice said, annoyingly familiar.
The man looked up at Luffy on the execution platform.
"First, you beat me that day… and then, because of you, I was humiliated by a bunch of no-name fishmen." His voice trembled with carefully aged rage, preserved like fine vinegar. "Do you know how I've felt all this time? I've dreamed of nothing but killing you. That's what kept me going long enough to make it back to my crew. And now, we're finally here…"
He threw off his cloak with a flourish. The red nose caught the dying sunlight first, followed by the striped shirt, and then the wide, unhinged grin painted on a face that had spent weeks nursing a grudge.
Buggy the Clown had arrived.
"Oh, it's you, Boogy," Luffy said as if he were identifying a piece of furniture.
A vein throbbed visibly on Buggy's forehead.
"GOD DAMN IT!!!" Buggy's voice cracked into a screech that scattered pigeons three blocks away. "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU!? IT'S BUGGY… NOT BUNNY, NOT BOOGY… BUGGY… B-U-G-G-Y… BUGGY!!!"
His eyes were completely bloodshot. A crewmember rushed forward urgently.
"Captain, your blood pressure!"
Buggy breathed in and held it. His entire body vibrated with the effort of restraint. When he spoke again, his voice was nearly calm.
He gestured with one hand. His crew moved as one, weapons raised, muzzles and blades catching the strange pre-storm light. They aimed not at Luffy but at the huddled civilians.
"Nobody moves."
"Freeze, landlubbers! You're about to see just how terrifying the Buggy Pirates are!"
The crowd went rigid.
Hands rose.
Above, the sky began to churn. Dark, heavy, and threatening clouds slithered across the horizon, gathering directly over the plaza.
In a nearby alley, hidden in shadows that clung to him unnaturally, a tall, cloaked man watched.
Dragon swept his gaze across the plaza: the Buggy Pirates at the entrance, Alvida near the platform, the civilians frozen in place, and the marines, they were already here. He had spotted them ten minutes earlier, silently filtering into position. Dozens of soldiers surrounded the entire plaza, waiting for their commander's order.
That commander stood on the rooftop of a nearby building, arms crossed, two cigars trailing parallel ribbons of smoke into the rising wind.
Captain Smoker was his name, and his eyes, beneath that crop of white hair, were fixed on the boy standing on the execution platform as if he owned it.
Beside him, Master Chief Petty Officer Tashigi shifted her weight from foot to foot, her fingers drumming against the hilt of her sword.
"Are you sure we should be waiting like this, Captain?" Her voice was tight with barely contained urgency. "The civilians down there are in danger. This could—"
"Look at him."
Smoker's voice was low as he nodded toward the execution platform.
Tashigi's eyes found the figure easily enough. How could anyone possibly miss him?
"That boy right there is Monkey D Luffy. Bounty of seventy million berries, the highest the East Blue has ever seen." Smoker took a long drag from both cigars at once, blowing twin plumes through his nostrils. "Headquarters doesn't hand out numbers like that for nothing. There's a reason. And I'm not risking civilians by charging in blindly before I understand what that reason is."
Tashigi nodded slowly, yet the doubt in her heart refused to subside.
Smoker glanced at her troubled expression and sighed.
"Look, you know I prioritize civilian safety in these situations, right?"
She nodded without hesitation because it was true: whatever else Smoker was, he was a man who protected people.
"That's why you need to trust me on this." He turned his gaze back to the plaza, where Buggy's men were spreading out, their weapons gleaming. "We don't know how strong Monkey D Luffy really is, so we'll let those pirates tear each other apart. Meanwhile, our soldiers are already moving, evacuating civilians one by one through the side streets. By the time the real fight starts, most of them will be gone."
"But what if they start attacking the civilians before we can intervene?"
"Then…" Smoker's jaw tightened around his cigars. The embers flared orange in the gathering gloom. "…I step in myself, and take them all down."
--------------------
Yuji had found a pharmacy tucked between a pawnshop and another store, where he bought the necessary medicine.
Now, he wandered the streets of Loguetown with no real hurry, a plastic bag swinging from his wrist and a paper cone of salted peanuts in his hand.
As he turned the corner, he nearly walked straight into a familiar wall of green hair.
Zoro stopped, looked at Yuji, and then at the paper cone.
"Where did you get that?"
"Just down the street." Yuji shook the cone, causing the peanuts to rattle. "Want some?"
"Sure."
Yuji tipped half the contents into Zoro's waiting palm. The swordsman nodded and fell into step beside him, his boots scuffing against the cobblestones.
"So, did you get your medicine?"
Yuji lifted the plastic bag in response.
"What about you?" he nodded toward the three swords at Zoro's hip. The familiar white sheath of Wado Ichimonji now had company. "Looks like your set is finally complete."
Zoro hummed, a low, satisfied sound. His hand drifted to the sword with the red scabbard and drew it partway out.
"Sandai Kitetsu." He slid it back with a click. "Apparently, it's cursed or something." He said it as if mentioning that his new shoes pinched a little.
"And this one—" he tapped the black scabbard, "—is Yubashiri. I got it for free."
"Good for you," Yuji said, tossing a peanut into his mouth. "Now that you've got three swords again, we can step up our training. What do you say?"
The smirk that crossed Zoro's face was sharp enough to cut steel. "You're on."
Just then—
"ZORO… BIG BRO…"
Both of them stopped and saw Nami and Usopp running toward them.
"Something wrong?" Yuji asked as the navigator and sniper stopped in front of them.
"Yeah." Nami pointed toward the sky, where the clouds were churning with unnatural speed. "There's a huge storm coming. We have maybe an hour, probably less. We need to leave now."
"Fine by me," Zoro said, adjusting his swords. "I already got what I wanted."
"Same!" Usopp hefted three bulging bags.
"Good," Nami nodded. "I picked up some clothes for us. We ran into Sanji on the way, he got everything for our food supply, so I sent him ahead to the ship." She scanned the group. Her mental checklist was missing one person. "Where's Luffy?"
As if the universe had been waiting for precisely that cue, lightning split the sky.
A massive, branching bolt of lightning slammed down from the churning clouds, splitting the sky and striking the plaza district.
Everyone stared.
"Uhhh…" Usopp's voice rose an octave. "If I'm not mistaken, the execution platform is that way, right?"
"Yeah." Yuji had already handed his snacks and medicine to Nami. "That's definitely Luffy. You two get to the ship. Zoro and I will bring him back."
Nami rubbed the bridge of her nose. "That idiot," she muttered, though there was no real anger in her voice. "Just be quick. We need to leave before it starts pouring."
She grabbed Usopp's arm and pulled him toward the harbor, and the two of them vanished around a corner.
Yuji cracked his knuckles. "Come on, Zoro. Let's get our rubbery captain and skedaddle out of here."
Zoro's expression flattened into a deeply deadpan look. "Do you really have to say that word?"
"I don't know what you mean, my G."
"Stop that." Zoro's eye twitched. "It's weird hearing that come out of your mouth."
--------------------
The plaza was chaotic by the time they got close.
They heard a loud commotion and saw Luffy running toward them at full speed, his limbs pumping and sandals slapping against the cobblestones. Behind him, a wave of Marine soldiers surged forward.
"YO, YUJI… ZORO…" Luffy's face split into his signature grin. "Shishishishishi… we've got some company…"
Yuji and Zoro exchanged a glance, then immediately turned around and started running.
"Just what the hell did you do to piss them off this much?!" Zoro demanded as they rounded a corner, Luffy catching up with an extra burst of rubber-assisted speed.
"Shishishishi…" Luffy's grin did not falter. If anything, it grew even wider. "I just told them I'm going to become the King of the Pirates."
They turned another corner.
And then stopped.
A lone figure stood in their path, wearing a white jacket and holding twin cigars.
"Straw Hat Luffy and Red Riot Yuji," Smoker's voice was gravel wrapped in smoke. His eyes shifted between them with the cold assessment of a predator sizing up its prey. "The two most wanted men in the entire East Blue, with a combined bounty of one hundred and twenty million berries."
"Who the hell is this guy?" Zoro's hands had already found his swords.
"That's Smoker," Yuji answered. "He's the Marine captain of Loguetown. We definitely can't fight him right now. He's a Logia-type and can't be harmed without Haki or seastone."
Smoker's eyebrows rose slightly. "You know a lot for someone living in the East Blue."
"I'll take that as a compliment."
Luffy, still catching his breath, looked between Yuji and the marine captain. "If we can't fight him, then what do we do?"
"We run," Zoro said plainly.
Smoker's expression flickered. "Oh, you're not going anywhere."
His hands dissolved into seething white smoke that coiled up his arms and gathered into two dense, churning spheres.
"WHITE BLOW—"
The smoke burst forward at blinding speed.
Seeing the attack coming, Yuji immediately grabbed the backs of Luffy's and Zoro's necks with a steady, firm grip. "This might make you dizzy," he murmured. "Bear with me."
The smoke attack struck their position and passed directly through their bodies.
"Wha—"
Smoker's eyes widened as he saw their forms seemingly scatter in his smoke.
"H-How!?" He spun around, searching. "Where did they go?"
He then whirled on the marines who had been chasing the trio, just as they rounded the corner in time to see their captain yelling at ghosts.
"You there! Did any of you see anything?"
The Marines shook their heads.
"ARGH!!!" Smoker's fist slammed into the wall beside him. Brick dust showered his coat. "What just happened!? How did they escape!?"
--------------------
From the rooftop of a nearby building, Dragon watched intently.
He had seen what Smoker hadn't: the way Yuji used the smoke attack as cover, timing his movement to the exact moment when Smoker's vision was most clouded, then employing Soru.
The explosive burst of speed propelled all three of them across the plaza and into the side streets in less than a second, clean and efficient.
"Looks like old man Wasuke trained his grandson well."
The words were barely a whisper, swallowed by the wind almost before they left his lips. Then the wind swallowed him too, leaving the rooftop empty.
--------------------
The Going Merry rocked gently at her berth, oblivious to the chaos unfolding in town. Sanji had just finished stowing the last of the provisions when three figures appeared on the deck.
One moment, the deck was empty. The next, Yuji stood there with Luffy and Zoro dangling from his grip like luggage.
"AHHH—GEEZ!!!" Usopp's shriek could have shattered glass. He had been coiling a rope, but now it was wrapped around his legs, causing him to fall over. He pointed with a trembling finger. "Where did you— how did you—"
Nami clutched her chest, her heart seemingly trying to escape through her throat. "Hey! What's the big idea? You nearly scared me to death!"
Yuji let go. Luffy and Zoro hit the deck with matching thuds, their eyes spinning and their faces mirroring identical expressions of intense dizziness.
"Sorry about that." Yuji was already moving toward the rigging, his hands finding the ropes. "But we need to leave. Right now."
Nami looked at the two groaning figures on the deck, then at Yuji. "What happened to them?"
"They'll be fine, just dizzy."
Usopp had untangled himself from the rope and joined Yuji at the sails, his earlier terror transformed into decisive action. Together, they unfurled the canvas, adjusted the rudder, and steered the Merry toward open water. The ship responded like a living creature, eager to set sail.
Sanji stepped out of the galley and froze.
"Uh, guys…" His voice was surprisingly calm, given what he was looking at. "I think we need to pick up the pace, fast."
The docks were filling with white uniforms. Dozens of marines poured onto the wooden planks. Leading them, moving faster than any human should, a column of smoke was solidifying into the very familiar, very angry form of Captain Smoker.
"Working on it, buddy!" Yuji and Usopp responded almost in unison.
Smoker's voice cut across the water like a foghorn. "YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE, PIRATES!!!"
He launched himself forward, his lower body dissolving into smoke and propelling him across the gap between the dock and the ship with terrifying speed. His arm was already reforming, fist cocked back, smoke curling around his knuckles like serpents.
Yuji's fingers twitched, ready to use Piercing Blood to buy them at least a few seconds, but he never had to.
A massive gust of wind arrived without warning and slammed into the Merry's sails with the force of a physical blow. The ship lurched forward, timbers groaning and ropes singing with sudden tension. One moment, Smoker was reaching for the railing, his fingers inches away. The next, the ship was fifty meters out, then a hundred, then—
Smoker's hand closed on empty air. He hovered above the water, smoke swirling around him in frustration, and watched the small caravel shrink toward the horizon at a speed that defied all logic.
--------------------
On the deck of the Going Merry, chaos reigned for exactly five seconds.
Usopp was wrapped around the main mast like a limpet, his legs locked around the wood with the desperate strength of a man who had decided this mast was his only friend. "Wh-What just happened!?"
"I don't know!" Nami had one hand on the railing and the other pressed flat against the deck, as if she could steady the entire ship through sheer willpower. "The wind just, it came out of nowhere!"
Sanji, somehow still standing, lit his cigarette with hands that trembled only slightly. The flame of his lighter remained steady; the rest of him, less so. "Well, we should just be grateful it showed up when it did."
Yuji slumped against the railing, his chest heaving. He looked toward Loguetown, now just a tiny speck on the horizon.
'Damn, Dragon! You really came in clutch!!'
On the deck, Luffy and Zoro were stirring. They sat up almost simultaneously, blinking at their surroundings with the shared confusion of men who had been knocked out and were trying to piece together how they had gotten from Point A to Point Sea.
"Ah…" Luffy pressed both hands to his head, as if trying to keep it from floating away. "My head is still spinning."
Zoro fixed Yuji with a glare that could have wilted plants. "Don't you ever do that again."
Yuji pressed a hand to his chest, the picture of wounded innocence. "Man, I saved you from getting your ass handed to you by a Logia, and this is how you thank me? You wound me, my friend. Truly."
Zoro's eye twitched. He looked away. "Whatever."
"If you two are done," Nami spoke up, "we need to steady our course. It looks like it's about to pour."
She was right. The storm clouds that had been gathering over Loguetown had followed them out to sea.
"Hey, look," Usopp said, having finally peeled himself off the mast. He was pointing toward the distance. "I see a light."
Everyone turned. There, at the edge of the visible world, a pinprick of brightness pulsed against the gloom. It grew as they watched, steadier, stronger, cutting through the pre-storm darkness like a promise.
"That's the lighthouse!" Nami's face broke into a grin. "It's our last checkpoint before we reach the Red Line."
She turned to face her crew.
"This is it, guys. Beyond that light lies the entrance to the Grand Line."
The words hung in the air, crackling with an electricity unrelated to the approaching storm. They all felt it, the weight of the moment, the pull of what was to come.
Luffy's grin spread across his face like the sunrise. "SHISHISHISHISHISHI… YOSH! WE FINALLY MADE IT!! WE'RE ABOUT TO ENTER THE GRAND LINE!!"
Sanji was already in motion, ducking into the galley and returning with a barrel. He dragged it to the center of the deck and set it upright with a solid thunk.
"Well then," he said. He took a long drag of his cigarette, exhaled, and gestured toward the barrel. "To mark this special occasion, let's declare our dreams, with the sea as our witness."
"Do we really have to do this in the middle of a storm?" Usopp asked.
But he was already moving toward the barrel.
They all were.
The crew gathered in a loose circle.
The Merry creaked beneath them. Above, thunder rumbled in the clouds like distant drums.
Luffy stepped forward first. He placed his right foot on the barrel, firmly, confidently, without a trace of hesitation.
"I'm going to the Grand Line to find the One Piece and become the King of the Pirates."
Yuji stepped forward next, his foot settling beside Luffy's. He looked around the circle, at Zoro, at Nami, at Usopp, at Sanji, and finally at Luffy, his captain and best friend.
These people had once been mere fiction to him, characters on a page. Now, they were real. Now, they were his family.
"I want to keep the people I love safe, to always see them smiling." His voice was steady, quieter than Luffy's, but just as certain. "But to do that, I need strength. That's why I'm going to become the strongest being in the world."
Smiles spread throughout the circle.
Zoro's foot joined the two.
"You idiots have shown me what it's like to have a family of my own." He didn't look at any of them when he said it; that wasn't his way. "That's why I'm going to become the greatest swordsman in the world, not just for my dream, not just for a promise, but so I can always stand by your side."
Family. The word settled over them like a warm blanket.
Usopp stepped forward, placing his foot on the barrel.
"I was always just a liar, always dreaming big but never having the courage to make those dreams real. Until I met you all," he swallowed hard. "You showed me my dreams aren't just children's stories. You helped me through my darkest time. You showed me that even a coward like me can become someone important." His voice steadied. "So, I hereby declare, I'm going to become a brave warrior of the sea and the sharpest sniper the world has ever seen."
Sanji's turn. He placed his heel on the barrel with casual grace.
"Before I met you guys, I was just existing, throwing myself into the kitchen, trying to pay a debt that was never there in the first place." His eyes flicked to Zoro for a moment, and something unspoken passed between them. "Then I heard about a stupid swordsman throwing his life away for an impossible dream, and I realized, I was once like that too, ready to throw away my own life for my dream." He tapped ash from his cigarette. "That fire in me has been lit again. I'm going to find the All Blue, and I'm going to show the world that nothing is impossible."
Finally, Nami.
She stepped forward. Her foot, smaller than the others but just as steady, found its place on the barrel. She looked around at them, her new family.
"I never knew what freedom was." Her voice was soft but carried. "I was just a little girl, whose mother was taken away from her, burdened with something she never deserved. I thought I'd spend my whole life trying to free my village, doing things I never wanted to do, watching my own dreams remain just dreams."
Tears streamed down her cheeks, and she made no effort to wipe them away.
"But then you all crashed into my life. You showed me what it means to be alive again, what it means to be a person again." Her voice cracked, then steadied and held. "You freed my village, my people, my sister. And you gave me a new purpose. If I said I could never repay that debt, you'd all just tell me there's no debt in helping a friend, because that's just who you are."
She pressed her trembling lips together and took a breath.
"Thank you for everything, for accepting me and for giving me a family."
She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. When she looked up again, steel gleamed in her gaze.
"I'm going to follow my dream alongside all of you. I will draw a map of the entire world."
Luffy grinned. Yuji grinned. Zoro almost grinned, which was as good as a standing ovation. Usopp was openly crying now, which made Nami laugh, and that, in turn, made Sanji chuckle while pretending very hard that his eyes weren't stinging too.
"Now then—" Luffy raised his foot high. The others followed: Yuji, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, and Nami. Six feet raised together. Six dreams woven into one. They brought them down on the barrel, shattering it.
"GRAND LINE, HERE WE COME!!"
