Benedict's POV
"Mother, that's enough," Jaxson's voice cut through the tension like a blade.
"Release me!" Rhiannon snarled, fighting against his restraining grip.
Her fingers stretched toward me like claws, desperate to reach their target. She writhed against Jaxson's hold, her body twisting with violent determination. Her elbow shot backward into his ribs. He sucked in a sharp breath but refused to let go.
"You fed him lies!" she screamed in my direction. "You convinced him to believe that garbage?"
From my position across the stone chamber, I remained unmoved.
"I merely shared what needed to be said," I replied with deliberate calm. "Nothing but facts."
"Facts?" Rhiannon's laugh was pure venom. She threw her full weight backward against Jaxson's chest. He staggered, his balance faltering for just an instant. That single moment was all she needed. She slipped through his arms like water, breaking free before he could tighten his grip.
"Rhiannon, don't—"
