Sylver Moons pov
I was supposed to be bright, like the stars in the sky. I named myself, for the one that was supposed to name me threw me away like a filth to be disposed of.
I was born flawed. My body was just not enough to handle the flow of Blood energy through the veins. Nor my heart could have handled pumping it.
"I was a thrown away defect that lived in a brothel until the day soldiers barged in and wiped out everyone and everything i ever knew." I spoke, pointing to the ugly scar over my right eye.
Hanz looked back at me with a sorrowful expression. "It's alright, not everyone's supposed to be perfect!" He tried comforting me, keyword tried.
I deadpanned back at him. "I sometimes wish upon your death." I spat out and sighed before turning away. Looking back at the academy that was built through the blood money of poor souls.
I nudge Hanz "yo Hanz, how old are you?" I turned back to him and he shrugged. "13, why are you asking?" He said.
"Then we should try whatever this academy is... the one they wiped out or town for to build it over it?" I suggested at whistled. Stretching my hands.
He stared back at me "right, i heard entries are free and can get in if you're good enough. It's just harder for Commoners" he stood up and slaped my back.
"Okay, rude!?" I turned to him and laughing and walking towards the building. As we walked he looked thoughtfully at the ground.
"Sylver.. do you still get that dream where you're like in a field of flowers and an angel leaning on tree in the center of it?" His tone full of curiosity as he asked.
"It's my only dream I had since I got born... So yeah." I dismissed it and we walked past the academy. He looked back before turning to me. "Didn't you sa- no. We're not enrolling Hanz." I smacked him on the head as we went back to our hideout cave.
I leaned against the stone wall alone, Hanz left to go do some jobs to earn money. I was spent from last Days work. "But then again... You never know when another purge might happen." I threw my bag on my back and moved towards the city.
And conveniently, the road I took was the same one to that stupid blood energy academy. A carriage that moved past me suddenly stopped. And about two goddesses emerged from it.
"Oh hello there! Your scar looks really cool." The first girl said and the other one stayed quiet. I just looked at her for a good while before she awkwardly went back to the carriage and moved off.
"What in the genuine fuck was that." I stared like a statue at the spot that girl stood. I shook my head and continued moving. And soon enough i reached the city.
I walked in, and at the dead middle of it was four pikes. With heads impaled on them. Hanz, that guy that stole bread, the dude that looked under a noblewomans skirt. And the girl that tried seducing a noble.
I turned away before something hit me like a truck. 'wait who was that fi...' i fell to my knees. I couldn't do anything at that moment. I just stared at his head that got piked for everyone to see, his hair flowing through the wind.
I closed my eyes... Well, the one I had left. And ran through the streets that I memorized, i didn't even need to see where I was going. I found myself back at the cave, puking out the little i ate.
I couldn't hear anything. The memory just replayed over and over again. 'Just...am I curse?' i thought spitefully.
'am i really that much of a jinx?'
"I was foolish to think my life was gonna go upwards. Aren't i too young for this?!" I screamed out. Finally finding my voice after hours of speechlessness
"Those stupid nobles... Those idiot soldiers... Everyone. I'll make them pay with blood." I smashed my fist into the stone wall. "An eye for an eye." I hissed out at the poor bullied ghost Infront of me.
