I'm writing this just to thank everyone who has given this story—and the other one—a chance. You don't know how much I enjoy reading your comments and feedback, "although I wish you'd be more active"
Before I dwell on it any further, the reason I'm writing this is because I want to hear even more of your opinions on everything so far—whether you're enjoying the stories, my writing style, or if you have any ideas or suggestions.
Also, to tell you that I'm the kind of person who can't stop thinking, and once an idea gets into my head, I can't let it go easily But I also know that I can't take on too much, as the saying goes, "Don't bite off more than you can chew."
So basically, what I'm trying to say with all this is that I've decided to write a third and final fanfic (for now) as a way to take a break from the others, or so that when I hit a wall with one, I can make progress on the others, and I want you guys to tell me which one you'd like to read.
Football
1. Actually, I've already been working on one, and the prologue and Chapter 1 are already on Patreon. It's basically about a Danish player who is naturally ambidextrous with both feet and can play on both wings as well as a second striker, which makes him truly versatile.
2. Another idea—and I've noticed that many Chinese novels are about a soccer coach—which I also find fascinating and think has a lot of potential. What I haven't decided yet is whether to make him the coach of a single club (like Ferguson and Wenger), obviously in the Premier League, coaching teams like Aston Villa or Tottenham, or whether to have him start small and work his way up to a big club.
Basketball
It's the same concept as soccer, except this time he manages an NBA team—perhaps one that was recently created—where you can shape the team's identity starting in the 2000s, such as the Timberwolves, Raptors, or Grizzlies.
Baseball
In this story, I haven't yet defined the player's position, but I do know that I want him to start with the Oakland Athletics when Billy Beane followed DePodesta's instructions to build a winning team based on statistics, setting aside factors like aesthetics and so on, and the player is stuck in the minor leagues—but both of them realize that his talent is actually quite underrated. And since I based this on a movie, I could even... have him transferred later to one of the teams in New York or Los Angeles and make this happen in a crossover world featuring several TV series.
1. pitcher He would be a starting pitcher coming up from the minors whose fastball isn't that fast at first—84 mph (it gradually increases)—but what caught my attention is the variety of pitches he has mastered, which makes him a very versatile pitcher, and his low walk rate, which prevents him from loading the bases. As a hitter, he would be a contact hitter with a contact rate above 90% which means he almost always makes contact with the ball, along with an OBP of .400, so he would always be one of the first in the batting order.
2. Catcher Back then, catchers were mostly just muscular guys who hit a lot of home runs and had a strong arm to throw out runners, but in this case, he'll be a smart player who always looks for the best pitches and a master of pitch framing (The ability to turn questionable pitches outside the strike zone into clear strikes through subtle glove work) to strike out opposing batters and extend their at-bats to wear down opposing pitchers with a high walk rate.
Others:
To take a break from the world of sports, another idea could be to create a music story where the main character starts out in a band before launching a solo career, or a Hollywood story where he becomes an actor, a director, or even an agent.
If you have any ideas, feel free to share them, but this will also be the last story I plan to work on for a while—or at least until I feel like I can work on another one at a more leisurely pace.
