Chapter 57 - Ecchi the Extravagant

'There's no way this was a coincidence actually... Was it planned? Was it completely determined I would fall that day?'

Though--currently, Koji indeed had no answer for this question; maybe one day, no for sure--he would look for it; except, right now he was unable to, so his mind moved to another topic he was previously thinking of.

'Religion... Doesn't my transmigration completely disprove most of them? They all speak of an after life, some sort of hell or heaven after death--except, that was not the case with my death--I simply reincarnated into another world... Though, Buddhism has something similar with the samsara cycle; though, it's still very different.'

'A god--does one truly exist? A being that bridges our worlds? That god, he would be the key to going back to my world if I needed... Though, I don't necessarily feel the need to do so. However, if this god does exist--he would be undoubtedly the most powerful being, and of course I remember how people would pray to god to get his help with situations...'

'If he does exist, could I somehow harness his power?'

Of course, people on this world had their own religions--except, much like the ones on earth, they all failed when considering Koji's transmigration; this was because they only applied to their own world, and believed no other worlds could exist.

Well, besides the ones who know of the transmigration.

'This is very far off--I need to stop thinking like this is already possible, it's just a theoretical situation... And of course, a god would have values--if I wanted to borrow his powers, I would have to indeed follow his values.'

Though, it's not as if Koji didn't find the thought of their being a god enticing--after all, there was many things left unexplainable if one was to completely deny the concept.

'God, he would explain all the weird--otherwise unexplainable shit within our uni-, no--multiverse per say....'

Koji's contemplation on the matter ran deep, and he decided he would simply research it as time went on--currently, he wasn't really in the place to find out if there really did exist a god that could help him; also, he was about to be interrupted anyway.

"Koji! Ms. Cecilia took my Relic away, give me yours!"

Suddenly, Ecchi ran up to Koji and screamed in his face; his tone was full of disappointment and even a bit of envy that Koji still had his Relic, but his was taken away! Of course, it was taken away for good reason--well, a good reason that Ecchi thought was an absolutely shit one.

"N-no! Hell no, the Relic is mine Ecchi."

Koji was utterly baffled as he was assaulted by the extremely loud--and well, high pitched voice of his new friend Ecchi.

'He wants my Relic? Is he insane? Cecilia would kill me if I even considered giving it to him--plus, why would I do that? This kid really has issues....'

Koji just looked at Ecchi weirdly as he saw him pout; though, he did feel some sympathy for the kids--after all, he was only nine years old; of course he wouldn't be the most mature kid.

"U-uhm so when did Ms. Cecilia say you can have it back?"

'Shouldn't he be gone...? What he did was pretty bad--I'm surprised she let him stay here.'

Ecchi quickly answered him in pure despair--his mouth curving in sadness, his hand going up and doing exotic motions to exaggerate the disappointment brought by the punishment inflicted upon him by his very own--note, one sided--love!

"Ms. Cecilia said it was for two weeks! What I did was extra bad, so Ecchi must not use his Relic for two more weeks! This isn't fair Koji, help Ecchi the Extravagant convince Cecilia the Cunning to deliver the Relic back to it's rightful owner--Ecchi!"

Ecchi framed his words like he wanted Koji to embark on a quest to save a princess--as if they were in some video game.

"Wow Ecchi, you're being rather pathetic."

Koji slightly smiled at Ecchi's desperate tone--this kid called himself a king, but was crying over a mere Relic! Laughable, it really was to Koji.

"Eh?! Ecchi the Exotic will not tolerate such words from his own Kingsman--be gone Kingsman Koji, Ecchi the Embracing will embark on such a journey himself! That's right, Ecchi has no need for you!"

'Ecchi the Embracing? Damn, he must really be running out of words to call himself.'

Koji just stood there looking at Ecchi--currently, he wasn't in a very energetic state, so he mostly just brushed Ecchi's words off; though, he was not so rude to completely ignore him.

"Okay, then go do it."

Ecchi's eyes narrowed at Koji's words, and then he stood up straight and huffed.

"Fine, watch this Kingsman Koji--Ecchi the Exciting will show thee how a real man handles matters such as these."

Koji sighed--he knew Ecchi would have a dramatic reaction, but he also felt a little bad--clearly, Ecchi felt a bit of disappointment at Koji's rather dry words.

Koji paid little attention to Ecchi as he walked away, and his attention shifted back to himself.

'Ivory, damn... I miss her! Is it weird to miss such a young girl? Eh, no it's normal; well, I guess I was planning on dating her later, so it kind of is weird in a way.... Whatever, I miss her--I can't change that fact. Why did this have to come out of nowhere? Weird!'

After a rather short amount of time, Koji noticed Ecchi walking back to him--his face clear with disappointment; obviously, Cecilia had rejected his request.

Koji couldn't help but slightly laugh in his mind.

"Ecchi, how did it go?"

Koji asked knowing the answer, and Ecchi knew that he knew.

"What do you think? She said no! Eh, whatever!"

Koji did feel a little bad for Ecchi, but he also felt a tad bit of amusement at how disappointed Ecchi was even though Cecilia's answer would be rather obvious to most people.

Though, before the conversation could continue the two of them heard their names being called out by Cecilia--well, not only their names--everyone else's too.
