Chapter 51 - Tournament (Final Part)

"Start!"

Finally, after fighting the last two opponents--and indeed, barely managing to achieve victory, Koji would be facing the final opponent; in which, this particular opponent--he would most likely, no even without a doubt be his hardest yet; as reasons stated multiple times previously, them being his unpredictability--and obviously, the fact he had such prowess and a young age.

Of course, the "he" is referring to none other than Ecchi--possibly, the most talented pervert Koji had ever met.

___

Cecilia's arm--the arm that held back both respective participates in the fight, had left both of their eyes; truly, in a battle there did not exist two--contrary, three--yes, in reality three stood, all being important to the duel; this third, often not considered as a participant--indeed, was the so called "referee", because if the referee failed to do their job, and failed to force the duelers to abide by their rules--funny, how could such a duel be considered respectable at all? For nothing was enforced, so in reality the duel was just a simple brawl--held by two people, this brawl of course, had no rules--and therefore the outcome from the start was not limited by any restrictions, and was only determined by the nature of the victor.

However, it was called a duel for a reason; maybe these "referees", were never meant to exist in the first place.

Though, currently--no matter ones view on this, there did exist a referee; and whether fortunately, or unfortunately--Koji and Ecchi would have to abide by her rules.

___

'He also didn't take a stance?'

Koji's eyes widened as he looked oppositely from him, where the arm of Cecilia's was now gone; he saw Ecchi, who was yawning and simply held the sword down towards the ground, completely and utterly relaxed.

'Should I attack first? No, I have to learn his style; eh, but he isn't attacking, so how could I? I should take the initiative.'

Koji's thoughts ran wild, all of them relating to how he should handle the current predicament; meanwhile, Ecchi looked as if no thoughts were flowing through his head, and that he was simply peaceful and content--as if utter confidence flowed through him alone.

'Ack! Fine...'

Koji's dark eyes, which in many ways resembled an abyss--a place in which it's only quality was being devoid of any qualities at all; ironic, it was truly--though, disregarding the humor of it, currently his dark eyes were narrowed; his dark eyebrows coming down and his face showing a look of focus and even--a bit of frustration.

Koji's small leg swept forward to quickly run at Ecchi; currently, he was just hoping to catch him off guard and land a strike on him.

'If he blocks it, that's fine too; at least it will start the fight.'

Koji was content with the decision he made; after all, whether he landed the hit or not, at least progress would be made--though, he would obviously prefer one of those outcomes over the other.

His feet raced against the grass, his arms itching to swing his sword when he got into range; Koji was very inexperienced with such a weapon, but he felt as if he belonged to a sword--it was like no other weapon felt so good in his hands, or felt so nice to swing; the sword alone, it was the weapon that called to him--not anything fancy like a hammer, or even a scythe; none of these weapons spoke to him as a sword spoke to him.

Koji was extremely close to reaching striking distance--indeed, peculiar this zone was; the striking zone, meaning the zone where swinging your sword, and hitting your opponent would be possible--it truly was the most dangerous part of a fight, and often the most complicated to understand; currently, Koji had little knowledge on such a thing--and when someone lacks knowledge of a certain factor, no matter their intelligence, it will always be a weakness.

Koji gripped his weapon--the sword, in which he would launch upon Ecchi--it was currently positioned upon Koji's shoulder, and when the time came, he would draw it and slice to the side and down.

However, although Koji felt he made ample preparations for any retaliation that Ecchi conceived and executed--even if Koji knew, if he knew that Ecchi wouldn't be able to deal the winning blow here, as he was not in a position to do so.

"Haha!"

Instantly, a shocking sight befell Koji's eyes--Ecchi, his opponent; indeed, the opponent he was the most worried about, did something that admittedly, did fit him; though, in a fight was absolutely crazy!

Yes, he pulled his pants down!

'W-what the fuck!?'

Except, under his pants--were more pants!!

Instantly, before Koji could properly react--the Koji, who had frozen for a split second, and was now about to be punished for such a mistake--instantly indeed, Ecchi slipped the pants off, and then stuck his tongue out in a grotesque manner and threw them on Koji's face!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!"

Ecchi let out a loud battle cry and then proceeded to run up to the blinded Koji, who was still processing the first absolutely baffling action, and hit him in the stomach lightly with his sword!

"Bwahahaha! Tis is what a Kingsman shall seek if thee ever decides to lay thy blade upon his King!"

Ecchi of course, didn't even know if he was using those terms correctly; he simply felt that they would give him more "aura".

Koji was still recovering as Ecchi said his erratic and dramatic words--one may expect Koji to be devastated at such an embarrassing defeat, except he wasn't! In reality, as he flung Ecchi's trousers off of his face, he was just laughing.

Although his defeat came at such an over the top performance, this Ecchi kid--Koji found this to be the funniest thing he has yet to experience in this world; this kid, Ecchi--he threw his pants upon Koji's face, and then let out a battle cry as he thrusted his sword upon Koji's stomach--how could one not find such a thing amusing?

'This kid, he really just beat me like that? Like that!? Hehe, I can't even be angry; it's not like he broke the rules, and at least he made me laugh; I guess he deserves those head pats from Cecilia...'

Koji, who thought this fight would teach him something, well--he may have came out the fight the same, but that didn't mean the fight had no worth; even if he may have also lost, at least he laughed! If he laughed, he had fun--and what was Koji's goal? To be happy, and in this moment he was happy; so really, he was content.

Koji looked at Ecchi, who was still smiling and slightly snickering--and his expression of laughter slightly vanished; now, this kid would for sure flex this for years to come!

"I'm still not calling you King you know; you just got lucky!"

Koji crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes at Ecchi; now, he was slightly reluctant to admit that Ecchi's actions amused him, as he knew it would just fuel Ecchi's odd self confidence.

"Ack! Eh, whatever--one day you will! Haha, anyways my lady is waiting for me."

Ecchi grit his teeth at the start, but then his eyes sparkled like ruby's, and he quickly turned away from Koji and ran up to Cecilia--he looked up at her beautiful face, and made an expression that would for sure--by all means, be considered absolutely pathetic, as if he was a street beggar; Cecilia, who knew exactly what he was there fore, just sighed and obliged.

Cecilia's soft, slender hand laid upon Ecchi's red hair, and she then lightly pat his head five times.

For Ecchi, this felt like absolute heaven--he basically melted; his mind went blank, his erratic attitude disappeared and he simply relaxed into her soft touch--right before Cecilia took her hand off of his head, she slightly ruffled his soft hair; though she may not want to admit it, she was proud of Ecchi for winning, even if he won in such a weird manner--not only that, but his hair felt very comforting to the touch, so she did not want to stop patting his head; however, she did stop--after all, she didn't want Ecchi to like this too much.

However, as Ecchi felt Cecilia's hand leave his head--he whimpered like a little girl!

'God, he really is kinda pathetic...'

Koji watched from the sidelines; his ears being cursed with Ecchi's pathetic wines; at the noise, Cecilia's expression turned nervous--because of course, she thought Ecchi may make this a big deal, so to combat this she tried to distract him.

"Ecchi, I'm proud of you."

Despite her earlier opposition to letting Ecchi know that she indeed--was very proud of him, she decided to just tell him, as maybe it would calm him down.

Suddenly, Ecchi's eyes went back to once again--being bright like Ruby's and he looked up at Cecilia with a happy expression.

"Ms. Cecilia, you are proud of me?"

Cecilia nervously laughed, and slightly backed away from Ecchi as she responded.

"Yes Ecchi, I am proud."

Ecchi turned away from her, and then instantly ran back towards Koji--as if they had not just battled.

Ecchi went up to Koji, and then whispered in his ear.

"Koji, Koji did you see that? She is proud of me--yes, I am a step closer to making her my bride!"

Koji flinched as Ecchi's extremely loud--so called "whisper" entered his ear; how could someone's whispering be as loud as normal talking? This Ecchi kid was odd in every single way... Though, even more peculiar were his words themselves; Ecchi had already disregarded his pride for winning the fight, and was completely focused on the fact Cecilia had praised him--he didn't even address Koji as Kingsman!

"Y-yeah I see Ecchi..."

Indeed, the fight had ended with Ecchi's victory--and of course, the losing participant being Koji--though, starting the next day, Koji's real training would start--his journey to becoming a master of the Lightning Mantra, and eventually combining it with his vast knowledge of Soul Mantra--together, he was hoping they would bring him to his goal.
