Chapter 9 - Knowing When to Stop

There is a point at which more becomes too much.

A cup filled beyond its limit spills. A blade sharpened too much becomes dull. Wealth hoarded excessively brings anxiety rather than comfort.

Yet people often ignore this.

They believe that more will always be better—more success, more possessions, more recognition. But in chasing "more," they lose balance.

The Sage understands the importance of stopping.

He knows when enough is enough. He does not overextend, overreach, or overindulge. He completes his work and then steps back.

This is not a lack of ambition.

It is wisdom.

Because knowing when to stop prevents loss.

It preserves energy.

It maintains harmony.

And most importantly, it allows you to enjoy what you already have.
