A loud clap echoed suddenly.
Ava and Lucien broke apart instantly.
Aurora stood at the couch, arms crossed, looking amused.
"Well," she said, "that was inevitable."
Ava's cheeks burned.
Lucien looked irritated.
"Do you mind?"
Aurora shook her head.
"Not at all. But we have a problem."
Lucien's expression hardened.
"What now?"
Aurora walked to the window.
"I hacked into one of the hunter networks."
Ava felt her stomach tighten.
"And?"
Aurora turned back to them.
"The bounty on Ava has doubled."
Lucien's eyes narrowed.
"Twenty million?"
Aurora nodded.
"Yes."
Ava felt dizzy.
"That's insane."
Aurora smiled slightly.
"It gets worse."
Lucien folded his arms.
"How?"
Aurora's voice became serious.
"Because the organization hunting you has finally revealed its name."
Ava's heart pounded.
"What is it?"
Aurora looked directly at her.
"The Dominion."
Silence filled the cabin.
Lucien's jaw tightened.
"That's not good."
Ava swallowed.
"Why?"
Aurora answered quietly.
"Because The Dominion doesn't chase people…"
A pause.
"They erase them completely."
