Chapter 2 - The girl from the sky

thought I was dreaming.

Because girls don't just fall from the sky.

Right?

One second, everything was normal.

The quiet terrace. The cool night air. My phone in my hand. Just another boring night in Rajkot.

And then—

A flash.

So bright it forced my eyes shut.

"Su hatu aa…?" I muttered, rubbing my eyes.

When I looked up again—

She was there.

Lying on the ground.

Not moving.

For a moment, my brain refused to process it.

A girl.

On my terrace.

At this time?

"Hello…?" I called out slowly, stepping closer.

No response.

My heart started racing.

"Arre… are you okay?" I crouched beside her.

Her skin looked… different.

Too perfect.

Almost glowing under the moonlight.

And her clothes—

Definitely not normal.

I hesitated for a second.

Then gently, I shook her shoulder.

"Hey—"

Before I could finish—

Her eyes snapped open.

I froze.

They weren't normal.

A strange, glowing blue… like the night sky had somehow come alive inside them.

For a second, we just stared at each other.

Neither of us moved.

Neither of us spoke.

Then suddenly—

She grabbed my wrist.

Tight.

Too tight.

I winced. "Oye! Relax—"

But she didn't let go.

Instead, she looked around… confused, alert, almost like she was searching for something.

Or someone.

"Where… am I?" she asked.

Her voice was soft.

But unfamiliar.

Like she wasn't used to speaking at all.

I blinked.

"Uh… Rajkot?"

She frowned.

Clearly, that meant nothing to her.

Her grip on my wrist tightened again.

"Which planet is this?"

I stared at her.

Waiting for her to laugh.

To say it was a joke.

A prank.

Anything.

But she didn't.

Her expression stayed serious.

Completely serious.

"…Earth," I said slowly.

For a second, her eyes widened.

And then—

Something changed.

Relief.

Fear.

And something deeper… something I couldn't understand.

Before I could say anything else—

A strange sound filled the air.

Low.

Vibrating.

Almost like something was… approaching.

She looked up instantly.

Her grip loosened.

But this time, she didn't let go.

"They found me."

My heart skipped.

"Who?"

She turned to me.

And for the first time—

There was urgency in her eyes.

"I need your help."

I should've said no.

I should've walked away.

Called someone.

Done something normal.

But instead—

I heard myself say,

"…What do I have to do?"

And just like that—

My normal life ended.
