Chapter 13
It was Monday the following week.
And as I had set out to, I was up bright and early this morning, following my usual routine of being one of the first people to arrive at the office and having William's coffee order ready before he stepped in.
It was strange to say that I actually missed being in my office.
The minute I stepped in, I felt some sort of ease. It's crazy, you think you hate a place until you're away from it for some time.
It also gave me time to observe how just how much personal touches of me the office lacked. I had time to think about maybe getting a plant, or a selfie of Sophie and I framed so I can place it on my desk.
For a while I busied my thoughts with subtle decor ideas.
A deliberate attempt to distract the fact that I was actually anticipating William walking through that door.
