The classroom door burst open.

He immediately walked to Jae-Min's desk and sat down.

"Did you able to catch a sleep after fighting a monster?"

"Can't you keep your voice down or you want everyone to know what's going on."
From the back of the classroom, Kim Ara quietly watched them.
She slowly walked over.
"We shouldn't talk about this in the class, why don't we step out?."
Min-Joon nodded dramatically.
"Secret meeting then."
Jae-Min frowned.
"…Why are you enjoying this? is this some kind of play in your own eyes?"
Min-Joon grinned.
"Because this is the most exciting thing that has happened in my life."

During lunch break, the three of them met on the school rooftop.
The wind blew gently across the city skyline.
Jae-Min spoke first.
"That Beast didn't appear out of no where."
Ara nodded.
"It was summoned."
Min-Joon sat on the railing.
"So someone is creating supernatural monsters in Seoul."
Jae-Min crossed his arms.
"And we need to find out who is creating them and for what purpose."
Min-Joon pointed at himself proudly.
"Good thing you have Detective Min-Joon."
Ara looked unimpressed.
"You ate six tteokbokki sticks yesterday."
"That doesn't make you a detective."
Min-Joon gasped.
"Food is important for fast thinking!"
Jae-Min ignored them and continued.
"We start tonight."
Ara raised an eyebrow.
"Where?"
Jae-Min looked toward the city.
"That monster came from the forest behind the school."
"We search there first."
Min-Joon pumped his fist.
"Night adventure!"
Ara sighed.
"You two are going to get us killed."

Later that night, the three of them returned to the forest behind Haneul High.
The moonlight barely reached through the trees.
Everything felt quiet.
Too quiet.
Min-Joon whispered.
"This place is creepy."
Ara replied calmly.
"You said you wanted adventure."
"That was before the creepy forest part."
Jae-Min suddenly stopped walking.
His nose twitched slightly.
"…Wait."
Ara immediately became serious.
"You got scent of something?"
Jae-Min nodded slowly.
"Yes."
"Dark energy."
Min-Joon swallowed.
"Please don't say that the monster is here again."
Then suddenly—
A strange purple symbol appeared glowing on a nearby tree.
Ara stepped closer.
Her eyes widened.
"This is…"
"A summoning mark."
Jae-Min's expression darkened.
"So whoever is creating those monster…"
"…was here."
Min-Joon looked around nervously.
"Great."
"So we're basically standing at the villain's front door."
Just then—
A cold voice echoed from deeper inside the forest.
"Well done."
The three of them instantly turned around.
But no one was there.
Only darkness.
The voice spoke again.
"You found the mark faster than I expected."
Min-Joon whispered.
"…I hate this idea of coming to the forest in the night."
Jae-Min's claws slowly began to come out from his hand.
Ara's red eyes glowed faintly.
Somewhere in the shadows…
Someone was watching them.
The voice spoke again.
Hahaaaa, don't disturb yourself, you can't beat me. But let me give you something to play with.
Then a beast roar from their back.
Ara shouted.
"Jae-Min watch out..."
