The tense standoff in the shimmering, multicolored sands of the rainbow desert shattered in an instant. Standing atop the primary assault ramp of his obsidian and gold dropship, the Malkor Elite who's name was, "Valdor," let out a soft, mocking laugh that echoed through the thin atmosphere.
His wild white hair shifted in the wind, and his eerie red eyes locked onto the gathered forces below.
"Attack," Valdor said, his cruel smile widening.
At his absolute command, the massive battalion of heavily armed alien soldiers moved in perfect, lethal synchronization.
They surged down the sand dunes like a dark wave, their plasma rifles humming with high-pitched energy before unleashing a blinding hail of glowing purple projectiles across the clearing.
"For a defensive line, now!" Vice-Captain Cryo roared, stepping forward to meet the charging horde. He thrust both hands downward into the vibrant sand, activating his evoliths .
The shadows cast by the towering dunes suddenly twisted and elongated, rising from the earth like jagged, physical spikes that intercepted the oncoming plasma fire and impaled the frontline alien infantry.
Beside him, Mikasa bypassed her sidearm entirely, reaching her hands into the open air as a sharp flash of energy, a heavy, dual-barrel rotary plasma cannon materialized directly in her grip.
She braced her boots against the shifting sand and opened fire, unleashing a devastating storm of kinetic rounds that tore through the heavily armored alien lines, kicking up massive clouds of rainbow dust.
Dr. D stood near his vehicle, his fingers dancing across the air as he activated he's evoliths.
Every time an alien plasma bolt neared the vehicle, he altered the molecular structure of the surrounding air currents, instantly hardening the gas particles into dense, invisible shields of compressed matter that dropped the projectiles harmlessly to the ground.
Further down the line, the twins of the 5th Division, Maris and Aris, moved with deadly grace.
Activating their blood manipulation evoliths, they bypassed the soldiers' external armor entirely.
With a synchronized sweep of their hands, they manipulated the blood of the approaching alien forces, causing entire squads to freeze in their tracks and collapse into the sand. The remaining ten frontline soldiers formed a tight firing line, providing continuous cover and attacking with their various evoliths.
Meanwhile, entirely unbothered by th war zone erupting just a few feet away, Vela scrambled into the back door of the vehicle Dr D created.
The heavy metal hatch hissed shut behind her, instantly sealing out the chaotic noise of the battlefield.
Vela let out a massive sigh of relief, reaching up to twist the locking mechanism of her space helmet. She pulled the heavy helmet off, tossing it onto the passenger seat. "Finally! A place to catch my breath!" she breathed, wiping the sweat from her face. Without a single moment of hesitation, she reached into her emergency leg pouch, pulled out a bag of chips she had been hiding, and began eating happily.
Outside, the desert floor trembled as the true battle began.
Valdor descended from his ship's ramp, his body moving with a strange, fluid grace that contradicted his fragile appearance.
His externalized skeletal spine and rib cage began to pulse with a sickly white glow beneath his uniform.
Captain Liora of the 2nd Division stepped forward to intercept him, her eyes burning with intense focus.
She activated her evoliths, drawing upon the primal blueprints of all living things to alter her physical attributes for maximum combat efficiency.
Valdor didn't say a word. He thrust his right hand forward, and with a sickening crunch, his flesh tore open as his ulna and radius bones extended outward, rapidly molding into a sharp, jagged bone blade that grew straight out of his wrist. He leapt forward, swinging the bone sword downward with enough velocity to split a mountain.
Liora reacted with the speed of a cheetah. dodging the downward strike by a fraction of an inch. Valdor's bone blade sliced deep into the rainbow sand, creating a massive fissure that exploded with dust.
Using her momentum, Liora swung her leg around, delivering a fierce, enhanced kick aimed directly at Valdor's temple. Valdor didn't move his head; instead, three sharp bone spikes violently erupted from his shoulder blade, shooting outward like a protective shield to impale her leg.
Liora's foot collided with the bone spikes. The jagged ivory pierced straight through her boots and shattered the bones in her lower leg.
She didn't let out a single cry of pain. Utilizing the genetic traits of the Hydra, her cellular structure instantly went into overdrive.
The moment she pulled her leg back, the shattered bones snapped back into place, her torn flesh began knitting together, completely regenerating the damage.
"Regeneration," Valdor muttered, his red eyes narrowing in sadistic delight. "Fascinating, that's means I can break you as much as I want..... Bone Forest!"
The earth groaned as hundreds of massive, razor-sharp bone pillars erupted from the rainbow sand, shooting upward like jagged trees. The bone structures twisted and branched out, turning the open desert into a claustrophobic maze of deadly spikes. Liora sprinted through the closing trap, her body adapting to the agility of an apex avian, twisting and bending her spine at impossible angles to evade the rising spikes that sought to impale her from below.
She closed the distance, appearing directly beneath Valdor's guard. Liora channeled the combined physical strength of all living creatures into her fist, driving a devastating punch straight into Valdor's exposed external rib cage.
CRACK!
The impact was thunderous, sending a massive shockwave rippling through the surrounding bone forest. Several of Valdor's external ribs shattered into white fragments. But Valdor didn't step back. He simply smiled as the broken fragments of his ribs instantly regenerated, lengthening and wrapping around Liora's extended arm like a pair of locking handcuffs, trapping her in place.
"Got you," Valdor whispered.
With his left hand free, Valdor tore his own humerus bone out of his upper arm, shaping it into a massive, jagged spear. He drove the bone spear straight through Liora's chest plate, impaling her torso.
Liora gasped, blood splattering against the white bone. But she wouldn't die.
Even as the spear remained lodged in her chest, her internal organs began to actively repair themselves around the foreign object. She used her free left hand to grab Valdor by the neck, her fingers digging deep into his skin as she prepared to tear his throat out.
Meanwhile, on a completely different planet
Jaxen, Rook, and Kylo stood in a tight triangular formation in the middle of a massive metal courtyard, Their evoliths activated.
As they where about to face one of Malkor elites.
