Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: review

 ALARM! ALARM! ALARM!

The klaxons did not merely sound; they vibrated through the very marrow of everyone inside the primary Border Defense Citadel.

The crimson glare of the emergency strobes splashed across the metallic walls in rhythmic, frantic pulses, painting the faces of the personnel in a bloody hue.

Engineers, analysts, and tactical grid operators scrambled across the tiered walkways, their boots slamming against the steel grates as they checked localized networks, verified data streams, and attempted to stabilize the fluctuating power grids. The sheer gravitational anomaly bleeding into the solar system from the approaching cosmic fortress was already beginning to warp the outer sensor arrays.

"Sir it's getting closer!" a lead engineer shouted, his fingers flying across a multi-layered holographic keyboard.

Dock Von stood at the edge of the central command precipice, his hands locked tightly behind his back.

He looked up toward the upper platform where the engineering team was huddled. "How many days exactly do we have before it reaches Earth ?" Dock Von's gravelly voice boomed over the localized shouting, instantly forcing a tense quiet over the immediate deck.

"Judging by its current trajectory and the compounding velocity of its gravity engines... approximately two to three days, sir!" the engineer replied, a cold sweat breaking out across his forehead as the digital readout locked into a flashing countdown timer.

Dock Von let out a long, slow, deliberate breath, his jaw tightening until the bone clicked beneath his scars. "I see. It looks like we still have a little time,I hope that time is enough."

Meanwhile, deep within the subterranean strategic bunker of the Xenocides Headquarters, a entirely different kind of tension was brewing.

Zane summoned every single available xenocides to the central briefing auditorium. The room was massive, designed with soundproof obsidian walls and a tier of reinforced steel seating that hovered over a grand tactical table.

Zane stood at the head of the long table.

His eyes were sharp, calculating, and cold as he continuously reviewed the complex logistical schematics floating in the air before him. He had been standing there for hours, cross-referencing Princexx's orbital layouts with the Xenocides' offensive capabilities.

The captains and their respective squads sat in the tiered benches, their arms crossed, their expressions heavy with the realization that this was no longer a domestic deployment. This was a war for the survival of their species.

"Hey... can I sit next to you?" a soft, melodic voice broke through the quiet murmuring of the assembly.

Elias looked up from his own hands, his silver eyes blinking in surprise as he found Lyra standing right beside his designated row. She adjusted her jacket, her gaze shifting slightly as she waited for his response.

"Sure, I guess," Elias replied, offering a brief, supportive nod as he shifted his gear to make room on the bench.

Lyra slid onto the metallic seat next to him.

She took a quiet breath, her fingers lightly tapping against her knee as she looked down at the massive holographic display at the center of the room. "Thanks," she whispered softly, her voice barely audible over the hum of the computers. "With everything going on... the atmosphere in here is getting a little too suffocating."

"Yeah, tell me about it," Elias muttered back, his face returning to its blank, reaction expression as he leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees. "A planet bigger than the sun is coming to crush us, and we're planning a house-breaking mission on it. It's completely ridiculous."

Before Lyra could reply, Zane slammed his palm lightly against the wooden table, drawing the absolute attention of every single soldier in the room. The ambient chatter ceased instantly.

"Alright, everyone, eyes up," Zane commanded, his voice cutting through the room with absolute authority. "We've run the simulations fifty times, and the numbers don't lie. A frontal assault is a one-way ticket to absolute annihilation. So, we are playing this clean, fast, and dirty. Princexx, the floor is yours."

Princexx stepped forward from the shadows behind Zane, walking onto the brightly lit podium. Her jade-green skin seemed to shimmer under the white tactical lights, and her slender antennae were held high, projecting a royal dignity that commanded respect.

She tapped her digital command link, and the holographic map of the moving planet expanded, revealing a dizzying network of subterranean tunnels, mechanical shafts, and massive atmospheric chambers.

"Please listen carefully," Princexx began, her melodic voice echoing clearly off the high obsidian walls. "We are to infiltrate, the moving planet and please take note we might find captives and when you do please release them and there might also me other enemies,so be on guard , the controller should be in the centre, this mission might take days or weeks to pull off" the crowd began to mumur"days or weeks"

Zane stepped forward and the crowd went silent

"Yes it's very annoying, but it's our job

And one last thing don't try not to die."
