A Coincidence Called Destiny
I nodded my head and said "Yes."
At the afternoon
She comes with me to my workplace and helps me a lot.
While we're working, we don't even realize how much time has passed—
—it's already night.
I say with a little smile,
"Hmm, you worked with me so much today… So from now on, ice cream's on me!"
She laughs, her face lighting up with happiness.
"Then chocolate for me!"
We both get ice cream and sit down together, continuing to work side by side.
After a while, I ask,
"By the way… why do you help me so much?"
She replies casually,
"Hmm… nothing much. My heart just wanted to."
I look at her and thank her again for all the help.
Then I say,
"Let me drop you home. It's already late."
She nods in agreement and thanks me.
When we reach her home—
—we suddenly realize we're neighbors.
Both of us are shocked and say at the same time,
"How?!"
We look at each other, surprised by the timing.
It's kind of funny, and we both start to laugh.
Then suddenly, she says,
"Listen… You live alone, right? So yeah—come over to my room tomorrow morning. We can eat breakfast together!"
I try to refuse,
"You've already done so much for me…"
But she insists and manages to convince me anyway.
Before leaving, she gives me her number, waves at me with a smile, and says,
"Bye, see you tomorrow!"
Then she leaves.
I stand there alone for a moment.
In my mind, I speak to myself:
"To be honest… I've found someone. Maybe she's not completely like you… but she cares. And don't worry about me… Enjoy wherever you are now."
I sigh in quiet sadness and head back inside.
