Chapter 88 - Good Grief, the Speed Bump Just Counter-Killed the Hundred-Ton King!

Seeing Gwen handle all six of them with such effortless grace, Peter—who was currently lounging like a retired old man with his legs crossed—couldn't help but let out a sharp whistle.

Impressive, my little spider. Those two weeks of "tough love" training certainly didn't go to waste!

Seeing Peter's punchable, relaxed expression, the Sinister Six felt their veins throbbing with rage. Bullseye, the team leader, narrowed his eyes and barked out a new order:

"Rhino! You and Vulture go deal with the Arbiter. The rest of you, follow me—we're taking down this damn Ghost-Spider first!"

Bullseye was Kingpin's top lieutenant for a reason; his tactical analysis was sharp. He realized their first failure was due to a lack of cohesion.

Aside from some minor synchronization between himself and Vulture, the other four were fighting like headless chickens.

Furthermore, Rhino's reckless charging was actually doing more harm than good by blocking his own teammates.

By simplifying the battlefield, Bullseye planned to remove the "Rhino variable" and force the Arbiter into a direct confrontation. Since Ghost-Spider couldn't fly and couldn't match Rhino's raw mass, she wouldn't be able to stop them from bypassing her.

Bullseye thought his decision was flawless. But as soon as the words left his mouth, a derisive snort echoed from the other side of the roof.

"I've seen a lot of idiots, but you really take the cake," Peter said, his voice dripping with boredom. "If the six of you together couldn't touch Ghost-Spider, do you really think sending these two 'small fries' is going to do anything to me?"

Before Bullseye could respond, Rhino went into full "Red-Temperature" rage. He glared at Peter, his voice a guttural roar: "Aleksei is NOT a small fry!"

Steam practically hissed from his nostrils as he lowered his head and charged toward Peter with total disregard for anything else.

Peter: "..." Will fighting this guy lower my IQ through some kind of stupidity-contagion field?

THOOM! THOOM! THOOM!

The roof shuddered under Rhino's heavy tread. This time, there was nothing between Rhino and his target. He was confident he could turn Peter into a pancake.

After all, he had tested his strength by ramming through bank vault doors made of reinforced alloy. Surely a mere human, no matter how skilled, wasn't harder than a foot of solid steel?

Seeing Rhino commit to the charge, Vulture sighed in the air but decided to play along.

As Rhino neared Peter, Vulture beat his metallic wings violently, launching a barrage of razor-sharp steel feathers like a hailstorm.

He aimed to box Peter in, cutting off any lateral escape routes and forcing him to take the Rhino's charge head-on.

Vulture thought the coordination was perfect. He expected to see the Arbiter cornered.

Reality, however, had other plans.

Facing the "Rain of Feathers" and the "Wild Ram," Peter didn't even blink. He simply reached out a single hand, palm open.

What is he doing?

In that split second, everyone—from Vulture in the air to the four villains tangling with Gwen—was stunned.

Is he insane? He's trying to stop the Rhino with one hand?

They were already imagining the sound of Peter's bones snapping, picturing him being ground into a meat slurry under Aleksei's weight.

Rhino himself was already mentally drafting his MVP speech: Aleksei didn't know... Aleksei thought you were just a speed bump!

As Rhino spiraled into his own fantasy world, grinning like an idiot while putting every ounce of strength into his final sprint, Peter's lips curled into a disdainful smirk.

Iron Body (Tekkai)!

Hum—

In an instant, Peter's muscles tightened, taking on the dull, unyielding luster of forged steel.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Vulture's steel feathers struck Peter's body and bounced off, producing the high-pitched ring of metal hitting metal. At that exact moment, the Rhino arrived.

BOOM!

Under the tense, expectant gaze of the onlookers, Peter's palm slammed squarely against the tip of the massive, singular horn on Rhino's head.

The expected scene—of Peter's arm shattering, of white bone piercing through skin, of him screaming in agony—did not happen.

The moment palm met horn, the concrete beneath their feet erupted into a web of deep cracks.

Then... CRACK!

The sound of breaking bone finally rang out. Bullseye and the others let out a collective sigh of relief. I knew it. There's no way a monster exists who can stop Rhino's full-speed charge with one hand...

"AAAAAAAGHHHHHH!"

A pig-like squeal of agony followed. Bullseye and his crew froze. Wait, why does that voice sound so familiar?

They turned their heads in perfect synchronization, their faces morphing into expressions of pure shock—the kind of look Eneru gave Luffy when he realized rubber didn't conduct electricity.

Good grief, the speed bump just counter-killed the Hundred-Ton King!

The bone that had snapped wasn't Peter's arm. It was the Rhino's horn!

The massive, alloy-reinforced horn atop Aleksei's head had snapped clean off, and blood was geasuring from his forehead!

While Aleksei was called "Rhino," he hadn't been injected with animal DNA. He was just a chemically altered man wearing a high-tech suit Kingpin had commissioned.

Because the impact force of his own charge was so astronomical, when the horn hit Peter's "Iron Body" and snapped, the jagged, broken base punched through the suit and the polymer skin, embedding itself deep into Aleksei's own skull.

It was essentially like having a steel stake driven into your forehead without anesthesia. If it weren't for his radiation-enhanced durability, he would have died instantly.

As it was, he was merely incapacitated. The Rhino collapsed, rolling on the ground and screaming for his mother in a delirious haze.

One move.

Actually, it wasn't even a move. The Arbiter hadn't even attacked. He had just... stood there. And the Rhino had deleted himself.

What kind of power level was this?

A heavy, suffocating shadow fell over the hearts of the remaining Sinister Five.
