"Haha, well, Erin is still my fiancee," I reveal.
Max's eyes widen under his eyeglasses, but he doesn't say anything, as if understanding the situation.
"I see…" he mutters, adjusting his eyeglasses.
"How did you know I was having a wedding?" I ask curiously.
"Well, Lasawani told me about it, but she was afraid you would punish her. I convinced her, and we tracked you down here since you told her the town you were in, in Ethoestan," Max reveals.
My jaw nearly drops when I hear this. I glance toward Lasawani, who avoids my gaze, her face still flushed as she stares at the floor.
"I am sorry~" she mutters softly.

"Save yourself the explanation. I understand everything. I've known Lasawani for a while and have never seen her like this. She doesn't even shoot anymore or play with men.
