Cedric, the loyal ally and Captain of the Knights, had been appointed Regent for the week while Rowan cleared his schedule entirely so he could spend their honeymoon with Rosalind. To his surprise, she had chosen a coastal retreat.
Fortunately, there was a royal house by the beach, now it seemed that was where they would spend the entire week together.
As the carriage moved along the road, Rosalind leaned her head against Rowan's shoulder while enjoying the scenery outside.
"So, what made you choose the beach?" Rowan asked.
Rosalind turned her attention away from the window and looked at him. Part of the reason was simply because they had never been to the beach together before.
"I've always imagined what it would feel like to live with your partner," she said with a soft chuckle while Rowan watched her. "A simple life, sort of." She continued.
