Chapter 119 - Chapter 119: End Of War

"NEWGATE!!"

Sengoku couldn't help but roar at the old man who had clearly embraced death.

Whitebeard had seemingly gone crazy.

He saw Marineford—his home, his command, the very heart of the World Government—literally tearing itself apart under the uninhibited wrath of Edward Newgate. He saw the massive chunks of the island falling from the sky.

"SHUT UP!"

Light Yagami's voice was a cold, terrifying whisper that seemed to echo directly inside the Fleet Admiral's skull.

Sengoku snapped his attention back to his immediate front, but the False Deity was no longer there.

Light had utilized his Haki to perfectly analyse the catastrophic destruction happening below. The island was breaking. He saw the massive, multi-ton chunks of the Marine Headquarters building falling toward the plaza.

GRIN.

A dark, incredibly vicious smile spread across Light's face.

BOOM!

Light dropped his altitude with a hypersonic burst of Soru. He plunged directly into the shower of falling architectural debris.

GRIP.

He engaged his Force Authority to its absolute maximum limit.

Light reached out with his mind, grabbing hold of three colossal chunks of the shattered Marine Headquarters—each piece of reinforced stone and steel the size of a Marine galleon.

The False Deity arrested their downward momentum entirely. He suspended the massive boulders in the air around him.

Light looked up at the golden Buddha. His dark eyes burned with the thrill of the executioner.

With a sharp, violent twist of his hands, Light manipulated the localized gravity around the massive boulders. He began to spin them.

ZOOM. ZOOM. ZOOOOM. ZOOOOM. ZOOOOM....

The three colossal chunks of Marineford began to orbit Light Yagami at terrifying, exponential speeds. They spun faster and faster, tearing the air into a localized hurricane, until they were nothing but a blurring ring of supersonic, apocalyptic shrapnel.

It was almost time to finish this charade.

Sengoku had to go.

"You keep underestimating me, Sengoku," Light declared, his voice carrying up to the Fleet Admiral.

Light thrust both of his hands upward.

B-B-B-BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

He hurled the massive, spinning chunks of the destroyed Marine Headquarters directly up at the Fleet Admiral. They broke the sound barrier, shrieking through the sky like localized meteors, against the old man.

Monsters were fighting monsters and no one seemed to be holding back.

The Summit War had escalated beyond a battle of men. It was now a war of total, unadulterated annihilation.

[ Host: Light Yagami ]

[ Karma Points: 4,120,500 ]

Over four million points.

'Not enough!'

It was an astronomical sum, but not enough for the plan to succeed foolproof.

Light had hoped he would increase the points in the war but apparently, the majority of the people assembled here were not criminals.

They were good people, killing good people. It would've been easier to ignore his morals for a day and start randomly killing but only a few minutes ago he had made a promise to only kill bad guys.

As for the remaining ones, he hadn't been able to kill many people while fighting with Sengoku.

Light looked at his skill tree. His Weapon Arts were already at Level 5—the absolute zenith for a human. His Armament Lvl.4, Observation Lvl.5(max), and Conqueror Lvl.3 were at the respective levels.

'Damn it.'

If he just had one more million, he could unlock Conquerer Haki's Level 4.

But it seemed he had used up his luck for today.

"Ha..."

"It is what it is."

'System.'

'Do it.'

[ Acknowledged. Deducting 4,000,000 Karma Points. ]

[ Upgrading Life Force: Level 20 -> Level 22. ]

Apparently, each Level beyond Level 20 needed 2 Million points to upgrade.

Hm?

Well, better than nothing.

Suddenly.

THUMP.

Light instantly realised. This was different.

This was really different!

Level 20 seemed to be the limit of humans.

THUMP. THUMP. THUMP!

The change was cataclysmic.

Light's body, without his knowledge had now evolved to become that of a mythical creature's.

Mythical Zoans... were no more than that!

ZOOP!

The air around Light Yagami completely ceased to move. The freezing wind, the smoke rising from the island, the very sound of the war below—everything was instantly suffocated by a terrifying, oppressive spiritual weight.

"URHHHHAHAAAAAA!!!!"

Light's head threw back, a guttural, breathless gasp tearing from his throat.

It wasn't magic. It was a violent, instantaneous, microscopic evolution.

Every single cell in Light Yagami's body was being torn apart and rebuilt in a trillionth of a second. His muscle fibers hyper-densified, turning into cords of unbreakable, supernatural steel. His bone marrow burned, producing a heavier, richer blood that carried an astronomical volume of oxygen and kinetic energy. His nervous system rewired itself, his synapses firing at speeds that defied the natural laws of biology.

The agony was absolute, but the euphoria was god-like.

CRUNCH!

The fractured ribs in his chest snapped back into perfect alignment with a sickening crunch, healing completely. The bruising on his flesh vanished.

But the physical transformation was only the catalyst.

Because his physical vessel had just ascended to an entirely new dimension of existence, his spiritual energy—his Haki—violently overflowed its previous limits.

Life Force was an overall development of... everything.

Instantly, the 'magnitude' of his Haki increased by more than two levels.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A colossal, untamed dome of Supreme King's Haki erupted from Light's body.

CRACKLE-CRACKLE! BOOOM!!!

It wasn't the standard burst of invisible pressure. It was a physical, terrifying manifestation of his Will. Thick, jagged streams of pitch-black and deep crimson lightning violently tore through the sky, completely dwarfing the Haki Sengoku had just displayed.

"THIS DENSITY!"

The lightning struck the heavy clouds, instantly vaporizing the moisture and creating a massive, terrifying vortex of clear sky directly above the False Deity.

"What... what is this?!" Sengoku gasped, forced to cross his massive golden arms just to withstand the sheer atmospheric pressure radiating from the boy.

"His presence... it just doubled!"

...

"AH!"

His dark eyes snapped open. The pupils were a deep, abyssal black, reflecting a mind that was processing the world at a terrifying new frequency.

Everything went beyond possibility.

His Observation Haki range, which already rivaled a certain Sky God, increased by more than half directly.

His Armament Haki became more obsidian in colour, it had increased by two shades deeper too.

But the most important change, Light felt, was his Future Sight.

20 seconds.

From the previous 10 seconds to directly seeing 20 seconds into the future.

5 seconds per evolution, it seemed.

''This...

He looked down at the shattered northern plaza. He saw Whitebeard, bleeding and swaying, standing alone against Admiral Aokiji.

Apparently, at some point, the crazy Whitebeard had smashed Akainu into the abyss with a Gurararara.

Still, through the absolute darkness of the bottomless chasm, Light saw a terrifying, bubbling red light.

'FUTURE SIGHT!'

The ascended Observation Haki allowed Light to peer forward into the absolute, irrevocable truth of the next 20 seconds.

Light saw into the future more than any human could.

ZAP!

Time snapped back to its normal, chaotic speed.

Light Yagami floated in the sky, his pitch-black saber humming in his hand. The red and black lightning of his Conqueror's Haki cracked violently around him.

He knew exactly how this war was going to end.
