Xavier's POV
I stepped back out into the hallway, stood there for a while. Thinking about how this potential lead just fell on Mr fucking lap without stress and somehow, it gave me hope, this might be it... I immediately flagged down a passing officer.
"Get me the department's forensic artist."
The officer nodded. "Right away, Detective."
I watched him hurry off down the corridor before glancing back through the narrow glass window of the interrogation room.
Leo looked miserable which was really good, at least the fear might keep him honest.
About ten minutes later or so, the department's forensic artist arrived.
"Hi detective, you sent for me."
I nodded. "Yeah, come with me."
The heavy steel door clicked open again and I walked back into the interrogation room, followed by the forensic artist carrying a large charcoal sketch pad tucked beneath one arm and a worn leather case in the other.
