Everything was just as Fujino had expected. As soon as the existence of animal-eared girls was mentioned, her sister, who had completely evolved into an otaku, couldn't sit still. She hugged her and kept talking about wanting to be brought along, almost to the point of tears.
After settling things with Nanami, Fujino ran to the room where Mukuro and Kurumi were.
After Mukuro became a Spirit, the relationship between Mukuro and Kurumi had become even closer than before.
When Fujino walked into the room, this was the scene she saw.
Having exited her Spirit form and returned to her original petite Little Loli figure, Mukuro was quietly lying on Kurumi, who had restored to her maiden form—and specifically, on her lap!
A lap pillow~
A lap pillow; she hadn't even tried one yet.
Fujino couldn't help but feel a little jealous of Mukuro, but then she shook her head with a wry smile. What was wrong with her, getting jealous of Mukuro?
She smiled silently and cast the stray thoughts from her mind.
Looking at the two people in front of her who hadn't noticed her, Fujino was surprised to find that the scene looked like a mother with her daughter—Mukuro naturally being the daughter. The image was warm and harmonious.
She didn't expect that her maternal instincts would be activated; it was an unexpected surprise.
"Ah, Sister Fujino, you're here."
In the end, it was Mukuro who noticed Fujino's presence. She hurriedly scrambled up from the lap, her delicate cheeks flushed with a blush that made one want to take a bite.
"Fujino, is something the matter?" Compared to Mukuro, Ann didn't have much of a reaction. With a slight push of her legs, she jumped directly from the bed toward Fujino.
Smiling, Fujino opened her arms and caught the soft body, spinning around with the momentum.
"Don't just jump over like that next time," Fujino scolded gently, lightly tapping Ann's small nose. Though she knew Ann wouldn't take the words to heart—after all, she had said this to Ann no less than ten times by now.
Carrying Ann back to the bed, Fujino sat between the two of them, putting an arm around each of their shoulders.
"I came to tell you something. I'm going elsewhere to do some things, and you two—"
"I want to go!"
"I want to go too!"
Before Fujino could finish her sentence, the two of them gave their answers.
Fujino looked at them; things were developing exactly as Nanami had predicted.
"Fine," Fujino sighed, ruffling their hair with a light laugh. "Then let's go together."
"Mhm, mhm!"
Both nodded, wrapping their arms around Fujino.
"Where are we going?" Mukuro looked up and asked curiously. "Is it fun there?"
"Is it fun?" Fujino thought for a moment. The world Nyarko mentioned was the game world of Arknights. That was a post-apocalyptic world; what could be fun about an apocalypse? Though, if she had to say, the animal ears were a highlight.
"It's quite interesting."
"Really?!" Mukuro's eyes lit up, and she began to look forward to the place Fujino mentioned. However, one wondered what kind of expression Mukuro would have when she saw the desolate lands of the Arknights world; it would likely be a look of shattered illusions.
Ann tugged on Fujino's clothes and asked softly, "Is Little Kurumi coming with us?"
Right, she had almost forgotten about Little Kurumi. However, adjusting the flow of time shouldn't be a problem.
Maybe she should just turn Little Kurumi into a Spirit now. It was about time anyway. Didn't Little Kurumi really like that imitation astral dress? It would be perfect to just give her a real set this time. Little Kurumi was at an age where she loved to fantasize, so she would be easy to trick. Besides, she had Tokisaki Yume to provide an assist. Making Little Kurumi a Spirit was practically a done deal.
But if she did that, the yandere Kurumi of the future might not appear, along with the Four Heavenly Kings of Kurumi. Oh well, at worst she could just train them herself. Even if it was a dark history for Kurumi, as long as she was happy, it was fine.
Happiness was the most important thing. Just like when she played Yasuo—even if her skill was at Challenger rank, she just loved to E around in a crowd. That was true happiness!
Having made up her mind, Fujino decided to go turn Kurumi into a Spirit now. As for the others, she would leave them to Kyubey. For now, she didn't have much interest in the other Spirits.
"Ann, Mukuro, you two stay here for a bit. I'm going to buy some oranges—wait, no! I'll be right back!"
With that, Fujino vanished from before Mukuro and Ann, leaving the two of them staring blankly, not knowing what had happened.
At that moment, Fujino had appeared in the villa where Little Kurumi lived. Entering the living room, she found that Tokisaki Yume and Little Kurumi weren't there, but were in the bathroom instead.
Hearing the sound of splashing water, the two were clearly taking a bath inside.
Fujino didn't go straight in; she wasn't some pervert who barged into people's homes. She simply sat on the sofa in the living room, activated her ability, and shifted her vision toward the bathroom.
