"I understand. Thank you, Lady, for granting me such supreme glory!" Kirei Kotomine had a look of fanaticism on his face, and the hand placed over his chest was trembling slightly.
"Then I'll leave it to you." Asagami Fujino smiled. Turning Kirei Kotomine was simply too easy.
Spending 5 points in the system shop to purchase a full HD camcorder, she handed it to Kirei Kotomine and smiled. "You know how to use this, right?"
"Please rest assured." Kirei Kotomine revealed a joyful smile.
"Then I'll count on you in a bit. Next, hehe~" Asagami Fujino turned back, her eyes shining as she looked at Matou Kariya on the ground.
Taking out the bottle of potion, she uncorked it and then used her hands to force Matou Kariya's mouth open, pouring the entire contents down his throat. She also cast a life-saving spell on him, just in case he actually died, which would be quite dull.
After injecting a surge of mana into Matou Kariya's body to temporarily suppress the potion's effects, Asagami Fujino tossed him directly to Kirei Kotomine. "I'll leave the rest to you."
With those words, Asagami Fujino swiped her finger through the air, opening a portal to another dimension.
"There." Closing the portal, Asagami Fujino clapped her hands with a smile.
"You really have a wicked sense of humor," Touko's lips twitched. She never expected Asagami Fujino to use the potion for something like this.
"Isn't this fine? Matou Kariya hates Tohsaka Tokiomi, doesn't he? Now he has a perfect chance to completely defeat him~"
"..." Touko looked at Asagami Fujino and ultimately gave up on saying anything. She couldn't afford to provoke her.
Nearby, Lia and Scáthach also looked at Asagami Fujino with strange expressions. This method was indeed a bit... something.
"Alright, never mind that." Asagami Fujino walked over to Lia and affectionately hugged her arm. "The King Arthur of this Holy Grail War is arriving soon. I'll leave that to you, Lia."
Lia nodded. Her casual home clothes were replaced by menacing black armor, and a pitch-black holy spear appeared in her hand. Everything was ready, waiting only for the target to appear.
"What about me? What should I do?" Scáthach asked from the side.
"You, master? Just enjoy the show," Asagami Fujino said with a laugh.
Asagami Fujino held an ancient book in her hands; it was Gilles de Rais' Noble Phantasm, Prelati's Spellbook.
Prelati's Spellbook was bound in human skin, with the cover depicting a face contorted in pain. Rumor had it that the book recorded forbidden magic wielded by ancient evil gods from before the birth of humanity.
These so-called ancient evil gods could also be called the Great Old Ones or Outer Gods—supreme beings independent of the universe, possessing unimaginable power and minds incomprehensible to humans. Any human who merely witnessed Their presence would descend into inescapable madness.
The Great Old Ones possessed unquestionable power and once ruled the universe in ancient times. However, they were later defeated by the Elder Gods. Due to Their immortal nature, They could only be imprisoned in various parts of the universe, only to be summoned into this world by incantations when the stars were right.
All things have an end, but They are eternal!
Among the Great Old Ones, the most unfathomable is their leader, Azathoth. Azathoth bears many titles: the Blind Idiot God, the Nuclear Chaos, the Daemon Sultan, and the Lord of All.
Azathoth is the creator of the entire Cthulhu Mythos worldview—the ultimate creator of all dimensions, all space-time, all universes, the infinite Outer Gods and Great Old Ones, the Ultimate Void, and the Ultimate Abyss. He resides in the Ultimate Abyss far above the multiverse. His essence is indescribable and incomprehensible—an absolutely unknowable, undiscussable, and inconceivable existence. He is accompanied by an infinite number of formless Pipers, each of whom is a powerful Outer God.
And the source of the forbidden magic recorded in the Prelati's Spellbook held by Asagami Fujino was a highly famous existence among the Great Old Ones: Cthulhu!
Cthulhu, also known as the Sleeping God and the Lord of the Ancient City of R'lyeh, is one of the beings symbolizing 'Water.' In Asagami Fujino's previous world, he was even personified as a cute green-haired Little Loli; one must admit the power of otaku culture is terrifying.
Cthulhu sleeps in the underwater city of R'lyeh in the South Pacific. However, due to cosmic phases or other external factors, the seal sometimes unlocks automatically, and the city appears on the sea. But because the seal is not fully broken, Cthulhu cannot leave R'lyeh. When the stars change and the seal's power is restored, he returns to R'lyeh to continue his long slumber.
What Asagami Fujino intended to do was use the forbidden magic in Prelati's Spellbook to reach the Ancient City of R'lyeh, allowing her consciousness to enter. R'lyeh contained countless ancient texts, which recorded innumerable magical and forbidden knowledges. These were Asagami Fujino's targets, though they were secondary; her main goal was to meet the legendary Cthulhu, this Great Old One.
To enter the Ancient City of R'lyeh, one needed to use Prelati's Spellbook and sacrifice several lives to summon a sliver of Cthulhu's will to facilitate the spell.
The targets for sacrifice were already available: the unconscious Karna and Gilgamesh on the ground, along with the soon-to-arrive Rider Alexander the Great and Gilles de Rais. As for Saber, she was to be sent directly back to the Throne of Heroes by Lia. The others would simply serve as sacrifices. After all, they were just projections of their main bodies in the Throne of Heroes, so there was no real loss in sacrificing them.
"Are you really going to do this?" Scáthach walked over, looking at Prelati's Spellbook in Asagami Fujino's hand with concern in her eyes. Having lived for so long, Scáthach also understood what those beings were; their descent into a world would be an irreversible disaster.
"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing." Asagami Fujino wasn't worried at all. This was also an experiment and an attempt for her. If something really went wrong, she still had the System. She could also test whether the System or the Great Old Ones were stronger.
