The interior of Trinity Academy was pretty dark and silent. It almost felt like no soul was dwelling under this dome, which was unsettling to Agra as this was the only academy in the continent that housed vampires, witches and werewolves.
Of course it was night time, but wasn't this the hour when vampires should have thrived and shadows should have danced with life?
Instead, the silence pressed down like a spell, heavy and absolute, as though the academy itself was holding its breath.
Agra tried to look through the window of the bus in the hopes of getting a glimpse of something, just anything. But all he could see right now were some of the headlights of a hundred and fifty seven bus full of werewolves, vampires, and witches teenagers heading to a specific direction inside the Academy, and the dim light of the moon hanging in the skies.
Everything else was vague. Even the night insects seemed have been holding their tongue as if something massive and of a greet impact was taking place, not only inside the Academy, but in the entire universe.
Soon, just like all the buses, Agra's bus came to to stop at the intended destination as the engine was turned off. Stepping from the driving sit was an old woman who seemed to be on his late 70s, tired with bugs under her eyes like she has been missing a proper sleep for thousands of years.
It seemed more like she was barely hanging on, fighting so hard to stay awake and the wick posture of her body spoke in volumes.
She took a long yawn then like a bullet, her gaze suddenly shifted to Agra's location as she felt like something wasn't right. But like a fox, Agra quickly and silent collapsed to his sit and pretended to be fast a sleep.
He didn't even understand why did it, but he knew he had to as it would have looked unsettling to be the only one awake, when everyone else was completely knocked out.
The old lady's eyes swift through the bus, left and right, up and down and yet, she couldn't find the source of her uneasiness.
"Did that thing really made me this weak that I've stated imagining things?" She casually spoke while taking a tired and a long sleepy yawn as she stepper off the bus.
Welcoming her back to the academy was on old bold headed black man of the same age as her, but of course, being of witch and warlock bloodline, the two should, at least be thousands of years old.
"Immaculate." The old man muttered while offering his hands towards the lady and help her down the bus.
"Emma." The lady respond with a smile as she accepted the hand and steeped down the bus.
"A long trip is must have been." Emmanuel muttered, effortlessly pulling Emma to his arms and planted a soft kiss to his centuries old lips.
"Unfortunately." She responded after breaking away from the kiss, then quickly giving Emmanuel another deep and passionate kiss for the whole three minutes before breaking away and gusp for the air.
"I could have gone forever but I've burned too much mana to stay awake, all I need right now is a cold bath and a deep sleep." Emma muttered while breaking away from Emmanuel's hands and started walking away.
He looked at her striding away, one step, a second step, a third one and Emmanuel finally couldn't hold it in anymore as he has was being troubled by something ever since he woke up.
"Do you think it is it?" He asked, his voice shaken as if he wasn't really ready to receive the answer, but he just had to.
"It..what?" Emma teased.
She clearly knew what Emmanuel was hinting on as for the past twelve hours, this had became more like a taboo that no wish speak of, and what was the best way of punishing the love of her life, if not by forcing him to speak of it.
"It..." Emmanuel muttered while gritting his teeth, fist tightly clenched as if he could punch Emma through space.
"It...what?" She carelessly shrugged.
"This woman..." Emmanuel sighed between his breath. "It... The Anomaly?"
This, was the exact thought running in the heads of all the vampires, werewolves and witches, who were awake by now.
It so happened that about sixteen hours ago, the vampires, werewolves and witches suddenly saw the skies turning bloody red, even though the morning sun was barely shooting out.
It was terrifying in all means possible.
Werewolves felt like the beast within them were being poked by the finger of a Grim Reaper, yet it hold the glimpse of salvation, while the vampires felt like their bloodlust had been quenched, yet at the same time amplified.
The witches and warlocks felt like their magic had been touched, purified yet tainted, amplified yet dimmed, but one thing was certainly clear, they were affected.
It was a sense of mixed feeling that they couldn't piece together, and just before they could even process what was happening to them, a strange soothing wave suddenly hit them and knocked them all unconscious.
It's only about six hours ago that Emma finally managed to wake up, then after, a few more witches, vampires and werewolves wake up, but they felt extremely weak.
It was only the strongest of their races that woke up. The rest, they were still knocked out cold by the force.
"I can't tell for sure." Emma muttered with the face full of mixed emotion, hope and fear. "I'm still too weak to trace the source, but let's just hope it isn't the anomaly." She spoke with a voice drained of hope, and she was right.
If the anomaly happened to have emerged, then they certainly needed to prepare for war, as the weak string uniting this threw races would should brake.
The anomaly is a prophecy, something too strong to purify the taint left behind by the Blackblood Demon god, so who wouldn't want to have such a weapon on their possession?
With the anomaly, anybody can rule over the entire three race as their fate would be on the hands of the welder, and this is what terrifies everyone the most.
They couldn't just sit behind and wait for someone to control them, so why wouldn't obtain the anomaly for themselves, and control the others?
"But luckily, nobody even knows what the anomaly looks like, so this give us enough time to prepare for anything." She muttered with a smile that did reach her eyes, as she clearly understood that this was a false hope.
