Chapter 103 - The Manifestation of the Evil Tarot

The antique shop was deathly silent.

The four people stared intently at the dark figure who was looking directly at Lucien.

The astrologer ghost appeared before Lucien and sat in the spot where Hayley had been.

A dark aura still emanated from her, but the area where Lucien sat remained as calm and peaceful as before.

The antique shop was divided into two distinct spaces by the central table.

"*...%%...¥#"

Unintelligible syllables escaped from the astrologer ghost's torn mouth.

She raised her hand, and all the tarot cards scattered.

These hand-drawn cards were automatically shuffled, their terrifying images flashing across them.

One tarot card after another fell to the houses corresponding to the twelve zodiac signs, the last card slowly falling from the air to the center.

The Tower.

Bankruptcy, adversity, playing with fire, fatal blow…

Ten of Swords.

Failure, end, extreme harshness, danger, death, ominous signs appeared one after another in their corresponding positions.

An evil wind blew, flipping over the Death card in the center.

The end of everything.

At this moment, a bell tolled from somewhere around them!

Hailey and the others in the corner exchanged horrified glances.

The astrologer's ghost had already handed Lucien his judgment.

The death knell revealed an inevitable death!

The oppressive and eerie atmosphere made their legs go weak, and they all collapsed to the ground.

Peggy, the most timid of them, was already so frightened that tears streamed down her face.

Their only hope, the antique shop owner,

was now being targeted by the evil spirit on the tarot cards. The shadow of the curse would take the owner's life, and they would die one after another afterward!

The black aura grew thicker and thicker, even beginning to dissipate, but Lucien seemed completely unaware.

"Clear this fog, I can't even see clearly anymore."

Lucien casually brushed away the black aura that had spread to the side, and actually complained.

"Also, after you do a divination for someone, don't you explain it? If I could read it myself, what would I need you for?"

Before he finished speaking, the back door of the antique shop opened, and Lucien, chair and all, was lifted up and thrown outside.

The astrologer ghost waved her hand, and the four were instantly subjected to the same treatment!

They rolled a few times on the ground before getting up.

They found the once bustling street deserted.

The streetlights went out one after another, making the city seem like a ghost town.

"Peggy, Paxton, are you alright?"

Grant helped his companions up, while Hailey's attention remained fixed on Lucien.

He remained seated, unperturbed.

This unusual behavior even led Hailey to wonder if he had been scared out of his wits.

In the dark sky, ten gleaming blades suddenly appeared!

They fell straight towards Lucien, seemingly intending to pierce his brain and heart like a tarot card!

This time, Lucien, who had been unresponsive, finally moved!

One of the swords that had fallen with him suddenly accelerated, but its target was not Lucien himself!

The blade pierced the floor, which Lucien easily pulled out. With a single swing of his greatsword, he deflected the remaining nine blades!

These bounced blades hovered in the air, and before they could fall, Lucien's swift movements sent them flying, kicking them one by one towards the female ghost who had appeared out of nowhere in the street!

The astrologer ghost was instead pierced by the blades, her entire body pinned to the wall, nine swords through her heart!

Before she could even react, the last heavy sword sliced through her brow like tofu, embedding itself in the wall!

The four, who had been filled with grief and fear at their impending death, couldn't accept such a drastic change. They stood frozen in place like statues.

They had initially thought Lucien was a traditional exorcist, fragile and easily killed, but his actions were more like those of a superhero than any movie hero!

Could a human have performed such a feat?!

But there was no time to dwell on it, as a strange sound came from the side.

The astrologer ghost was unharmed by the blades; in fact, she simply walked forward, letting all the swords pierce through her chest and head.

Lucien found this quite intriguing.

He had initially thought the strange phenomena within the tarot cards were all spirits, but now it seemed that wasn't the case.

This ghost had actually materialized the items on the cards, even giving them life.

However, so far, the manifestations were too few.

He needed to examine them a few more times.

Lucien stepped forward, and the previously gentle airflow suddenly became turbulent.

On the ground, dust outlined the shape of a gust of wind, rapidly attacking the female ghost!

"&&%¥#..."

The astrologer uttered unintelligible syllables again through her clenched teeth.

A medieval-style city wall rose from the ground, attempting to keep the gust of wind out!

This was a partial materialization of the Tarot Tower!

Wind blades left dense cuts on the wall, making it teeter on the verge of collapse, and a figure burst through the wall!

In three strides, covering nearly twenty meters, Lucien instantly closed in on the astrologer ghost, his hand reaching out to grab her head!

But in the next instant, a hole suddenly opened on one side, filled with twisted thorns and flickering flames!

A hideous demon rushed out, its claws aimed straight for Lucien's left chest!

The Demon Card, Manifest!

Despite the surprise attack from the side, Lucien showed no intention of slowing down. The moment he grabbed the female ghost astrologer, he swiftly swung his other hand.

Go!

The demon flew back at an even greater speed, and the hole filled with thorns and flames closed!

Just then, Lucien frowned and looked at his hand.

The female ghost astrologer he had just grabbed had somehow transformed into a rabbit!

A flash of bright light, and everyone realized that the place where they were standing had somehow become a large stage.

Not far away, a magician with a head twice the size of a normal person, standing like a towering tower, stood.

The magician held a chainsaw in his hand, and with a wave of his hand, all five people were bound by chains, and five huge boxes suddenly appeared, encasing them inside!

Even Lucien was no exception.

"No! No!!"

A series of bangings and muffled cries for help came from the four wooden crates.

But they were quickly drowned out by applause.

The pale-faced audience below, their expressions blank, continued to clap, seemingly waiting for a spectacular performance.

The magician bowed to the crowd, pulled the chainsaw, and walked to the crates.

But at that moment, the crate containing Lucien was broken open, and Lucien actually smashed it from the inside.

Not only that, his body jolted, forcefully breaking the chains, and then he swung the remaining chain, whipping the magician's head off!

The stage, lights, crates, and chains all disappeared.

The scene returned to the street.

Lucien and the astrologer ghost faced each other from afar.

Hailey, still shaken, had just recovered when she saw a twisted figure sneakily throwing a noose down towards Lucien from the rooftop.

"Watch out!!"

she shouted in panic.

Without even glancing at the rope, Lucien grabbed it and yanked it sharply.

The immense force traveled through the rope to the hanging man.

His body plummeted uncontrollably towards the ground, crashing with a dull thud that shattered the sidewalk tiles.

Before he could even get up, Lucien was already there like a ghost, crushing his head!

"Crack!"

A sickening sound of bones breaking echoed as the human figure on the ground fell completely still.

The dark street was utterly silent. Across from the astrologer ghost, Lucien turned his head and spoke.

"Any more tricks up your sleeve?"
