Chapter 7 - The City of Dawn.

The mist thinned as Lui Quiboloy descended from the plateau, revealing a vast valley bathed in golden light. In the distance, spires of crystal and stone pierced the sky. Bridges of suspended stone arched between mountains. Rivers of silver ran through forests glowing with bioluminescent foliage.

Arthur Alpha walked beside him. "Beyond this valley lies the City of Dawn. The first true settlement you will encounter. It is a place of heroes, scholars, and warriors. Many who walk here have been chosen by fate, by trials, or by the whispers of power itself."

Lui's eyes widened. The city was enormous. Towers twisted impossibly toward the heavens, each etched with glowing runes. Streets wound like flowing rivers of stone. Figures moved gracefully through the streets, some carrying weapons that seemed forged from light itself, others wielding strange, shimmering abilities. The entire city radiated an energy he had never felt before.

"Heroes?" Lui asked, awe in his voice.

Arthur nodded. "Some are heroes in truth. Others claim the title. All are being tested, one way or another. Here, you will encounter allies, rivals, and those who seek to surpass you—or destroy you. It is your first lesson in the world beyond training."

As they entered the city gates, the ground thrummed with energy. Citizens paused to glance at Lui, their eyes widening slightly. His aura flickered faintly, a beacon that marked him as one who had survived trials far beyond the ordinary.

A voice called out, sharp and challenging. "Who dares walk these streets carrying that kind of power?"

Lui turned to see a young man, perhaps a year or two older than him, with hair like silver fire and eyes the color of molten gold. His stance was aggressive, muscles coiled as if ready to strike at a moment's notice. Energy swirled around him, forming jagged streaks of lightning that danced across the air.

Arthur's gaze hardened slightly. "Be cautious. That is Kael Irid, a prodigy of the city and one who tests every newcomer. He considers no one worthy of surpassing him."

Lui swallowed. His pulse quickened. This was his first real rival, someone who had honed their abilities in the heart of the City of Dawn. His power was raw, but Lui's training in the forge had awakened potential. He would not back down.

Kael stepped closer, eyes blazing. "I am Kael Irid. If you claim to have survived beyond the plateau, prove it. Let us see if your power is real, or if you are merely a pretender."

Lui's aura flared. Energy wrapped around his body, a shimmering mantle that hummed with power. "I am Lui Quiboloy ," he said, voice steady. "I have survived the trials of the forge. I will not step aside for you, nor will I falter."

Arthur placed a hand lightly on Lui's shoulder. "This is your first test within the city. Do not underestimate him, and do not fear him. Your strength is yours, and it is enough if you fight with will and heart."

Kael's energy erupted outward, slamming into the air with a thunderous shockwave. Lui braced, feeling the wind and force of the attack press against him. He had never faced another human wielding power like this. But he recalled the lessons of the forge, the trials with the Guardian, and the surge of energy that had awakened within him.

He leaped forward, aura flaring. The streets of the City of Dawn became a battlefield. Energy clashed with energy, light against lightning, force against force. The citizens scattered, watching silently, knowing that the first test of a rising hero was unfolding before them.

Lui moved with instinct and will combined. His strikes were not yet precise, but they carried the weight of determination. Kael responded with speed and skill, countering every blow, forcing Lui to adapt. Each strike taught him something, each block sharpened his instincts.

Arthur watched silently. "Your rivals are not enemies," he said softly. "They are the first mirrors that reflect your own strength. Learn, adapt, and rise."

The clash continued, shaking the streets and scattering fragments of the buildings. Lui felt his aura stabilize, the energy flowing through him like a river finally finding its course. He was growing stronger with every exchange, awakening the hero within not only through power, but through resolve.

Kael stepped back finally, a faint smirk forming. "Interesting. You are not weak. Perhaps there is potential in you after all, newcomer."

Lui nodded, still breathing heavily. "I will continue to grow. I will surpass any obstacle, any rival."

Arthur's eyes glimmered with approval. "Good. Your path begins with trials like these. Strength, courage, and allies will shape you. The City of Dawn is only the beginning. Many more challenges await."

Lui gazed at the horizon, the city sprawling endlessly, filled with mysteries, rivals, and powers beyond imagination. His journey had moved beyond survival. Now, it was about rising, about proving himself, about awakening fully into the hero he was meant to become.

And with the first spark of rivalry igniting beside him, Lui Alpha understood that the world had only just begun to test him.
