Chapter 274 - The Welcome Home Party

Part 2: The Welcome Home Party

Sometimes…

Home doesn't welcome you with silence.

It welcomes you with noise.

With laughter.

With people who missed you more than they're willing to admit.

And tonight—

The mansion was alive.

A Mansion Transformed

The moment the doors opened—

Elara paused.

Her eyes widened slightly.

"…What is all this?"

The entire mansion had changed.

Golden lights draped across the ceilings.

Soft music flowing through every corner.

Fresh flowers arranged everywhere—

White.

Red.

Elegant.

The air smelled like warmth.

Like celebration.

Like… home.

Damian stepped in beside her—

Calm as always.

But even he noticed the effort.

"…They went all out."

"…They really did."

Elara smiled softly.

The Surprise Reveals Itself

"WELCOME BACK!"

Voices filled the room all at once.

Ethan.

Amelia.

Luca.

And others—

All gathered.

All smiling.

Seraphina gasped loudly.

"…THIS IS FOR US?!"

"…Of course it is."

Amelia laughed softly, walking toward her.

She bent slightly—

opening her arms.

Seraphina ran straight into them.

"…We missed you!"

Amelia said warmly.

"…I missed you more!"

Seraphina replied proudly.

Everyone laughed.

Ethan & Amelia — Soft Again

Ethan stood nearby—

Watching Amelia.

Watching her laugh.

And just like that—

Something inside him softened.

No tension.

No silence.

Just… her.

Amelia turned—

Their eyes met.

A small smile formed on her lips.

"…You didn't tell me you were planning all this."

"…Wanted it to be a surprise."

Ethan replied.

She stepped closer.

"…You did good."

"…I know."

She rolled her eyes playfully.

"…You're impossible."

"…And you love it."

"…Maybe."

That "maybe" came with a smile.

And he saw it.

Held onto it.

Luca Brings the Chaos

"…Okay, enough soft looks!"

Luca's voice cut in loudly.

"…We've been working all day for this!"

He walked forward dramatically.

"…Do you know how hard it is to organize a party for people like you?"

Damian raised a brow slightly.

"…People like us?"

"…Yes!"

Luca pointed at him.

"…You're too serious."

Pointed at Ethan.

"…He's too intense."

Pointed at Elara.

"…She's too perfect."

Pointed at Amelia.

"…She's too calm."

A pause.

"…And then there's me—doing all the work!"

Silence.

Then—

Everyone laughed.

Damian shook his head slightly.

"…You talk too much."

"…And yet you love me."

"…That's debatable."

The Party Begins

Music rose slightly louder now.

Soft but lively.

Guests moved around—

Talking.

Laughing.

Enjoying the moment.

Drinks passed around.

Food laid out beautifully—

Dishes from Italy inspired by their trip.

Elara noticed it immediately.

"…They remembered."

"…Of course they did."

Damian replied quietly.

A Dance… Again

The music shifted—

Slower now.

Damian extended his hand toward Elara.

"…Again?"

She smiled.

"…You're getting used to this."

"…Only with you."

She placed her hand in his.

And just like that—

They moved.

Slow dancing in the middle of the room.

Not caring who was watching.

Because for them—

Nothing else existed.

Ethan & Amelia Follow

"…We're not dancing."

Amelia said immediately.

"…We are."

Ethan replied.

"…No."

"…Yes."

A pause.

"…I don't want to step on your feet."

"…You won't."

"…You don't sound convincing."

He didn't respond.

He just pulled her gently closer.

Her hands landed on his shoulders.

"…You're stubborn."

"…And you still said yes."

"…I didn't."

"…You're here."

She laughed softly.

"…Fine."

They began to move.

Not perfect.

But natural.

And slowly—

The world around them faded.

Family in One Moment

Seraphina ran between them—

Laughing.

"…I want to dance too!"

Damian lifted her easily.

Spinning her slightly.

"…Careful."

Elara laughed.

"…Never."

Damian replied calmly.

Laughter filled the room again.

Music.

Voices.

Love.

Everything blending into one perfect moment.

End Scene — Home Feels Like This

Home isn't walls.

It's not buildings.

It's not power.

It's this.

Laughter echoing through rooms.

Hands finding each other without thinking.

Moments where nothing needs to be forced—

Because everything already belongs.

And tonight—

They weren't just back.

They were together.

And that?

That was everything.

To be continued…
