Riley's POV
Caleb's grip on my wrist is firm as he pulls me away from the game room, his jaw tight with irritation. He turns on Mason with fire in his eyes. "Couldn't you tell she was drowning in there?" The accusation cuts through the air between them, and I can't help but roll my eyes at his overprotective instincts.
Mason raises both hands in mock surrender, his expression almost sheepish. "Man, those girls were like sharks circling blood. I was terrified they'd tear me apart if I stepped into their interrogation." His admission makes me laugh, the sound bubbling up naturally as I tilt my head back to look at Caleb.
