As I was running straight back the way we came as Michael advised, I couldn’t help but despair. There was no end to this road, even though we should be seeing the entrance soon as it hadn’t been that long since we entered the forest.

To hide from Somnifer — and Michael, who was probably having his mind controlled by Somnifer — chasing after us, hiding was the better option.
