GEORGIA POV.
Sudden fear took over me. What had we done? Why did we act without thinking? The night before had been so fast that we had forgotten all about the deep bond I shared with Jaime. We had only been thinking of our own pain and longing.
Personally, I had wanted it, and stopping Nikolaj would have been easier than stopping myself.
Nikolaj put a hand to his heart.
"You're right. I should be dead." He said, looking into space, confused.
"You should be? It's not a slow death?" I asked, and hit his shoulder. I just wanted to be sure he was really in front of me and that I hadn't imagined the whole thing after losing my mind.
"Ow! Do you think I'm a ghost or what? That's so cliché. A ghost returning to his lover." He said.
"You could easily be one. But, wait. We… we signed it with each other's blood. How come you're not dead?" I asked, wanting to be sure I wouldn't suddenly lose him, and also wanting to know if we had to stay apart.
