Hearing that Luffy wanted to poach the second-in-command of this restaurant with just a few words, Zeff was astonished.
After a while, he continued, "Mister, although I don't want this guy Sanji to keep causing trouble in my restaurant, it's a bit too hasty to try and poach someone with just a single sentence, isn't it?"
Zeff's words implied a refusal.
Reno merely smiled at this.
"Hey, don't refuse me so quickly. Going on an adventure on the high seas is a very interesting thing."
Luffy was still making a final effort.
"Forget it, Captain. Since he doesn't want to join, we shouldn't force him."
Reno said to Luffy, who was still trying, and at the same time, he gave him a wink.
Luffy didn't understand why but ultimately stopped his invitation.
"It's alright if you don't want to join our pirate ship. We'll just stay here for a few more days and properly enjoy your Culinary Skills."
Reno said with a smile.
If the original plot holds, it wouldn't be long before Krieg arrived, and that would be the time for Sanji to join the crew.
Although they didn't know what he was really planning, seeing his confident expression, everyone knew he already had a plan in mind.
Seeing this, no one said anything more.
Thus, Reno and Luffy and the others stayed here for a few more days.
Finally, one day, the uninvited guest Reno had been waiting for finally arrived.
In the early morning, amidst a thick fog, a huge pirate ship sailed through the fog towards the Baratie Restaurant.
"What is that??"
"I've never seen such a large pirate ship before. Which Pirate Crew is it??"
People in the restaurant who saw this scene erupted in gasps of surprise.
When the pirate ship got closer, and they clearly saw the flag on it, everyone's pupils suddenly contracted.
"That flag is… it's the East Blue overlord, Krieg's pirate ship, the Dreadnought Sabre!!"
"Oh my god, why is it him??"
"How could he be here??"
Krieg's name was known to everyone in the East Blue.
He was arguably the most famous pirate in the East Blue, without a doubt.
"This is bad! Let's get out of here quickly!"
"Krieg's presence here can't be good. Let's go."
Many guests of the Baratie Restaurant fled in a hurry.
It was no laughing matter to be targeted by a guy like Krieg.
In just a few minutes, the once bustling Baratie (Floating Restaurant) became extremely deserted.
Seeing this, Reno's lips curved slightly.
"Finally, I've waited for you."
That's right, he was waiting for Krieg and his crew.
And this was also the catalyst for Sanji joining the Pirate Crew.
