Nami and Makino, one on each side, affectionately linked arms with Reno.
Seeing the three land on the island, Usopp proactively stepped forward to ask.
"Are you pirates?! What are you doing here?!"
Although they didn't look like it, Usopp still asked the doubt in his heart.
Reno didn't hide it, nodding, "We are indeed pirates. As for our purpose here..."
"I heard there's a vicious pirate hiding here. He's set his sights on a wealthy young lady, attempting to seize her property. I've come specifically to punish evil and promote good."
Nami pouted, just say you're looking for a beautiful woman.
Makino, however, with her pure heart, looked at Reno with burning eyes, thinking how truly righteous he was.
what??!
Usopp was stunned. If he was talking about the wealthy young lady of Syrup Village, wasn't that Kaya?!
But who was this pirate?!
No, that's not right.
Usopp immediately became vigilant, almost fooled by Reno.
He had lived in Syrup Village for so many years; how could he not know if there were pirates?!
Which pirate would dare to appear before him?!
The villagers all thought that Syrup Village was never troubled by pirates and lived in peace because of its remote location.
But the real reason was that he was here.
After taking the opportunity to fantasize a bit more, Usopp righteously declared, "There's no one you're looking for here, leave quickly."
"Otherwise, this great me..."
Before Usopp could finish his sentence, a long sword was already at his neck, scaring him into several shivers.
Holy crap, is this for real?!
"Lead the way." Reno couldn't be bothered to waste time with him here.
Feeling the slight chill on his neck, Usopp's face turned green, and cold sweat streamed down.
His legs trembled even more violently.
He had no doubt that if he dared to say no, the other party could instantly decapitate him.
Although he had always boasted that he feared nothing.
But when truly facing a pirate, the oppressive feeling from the other party made him feel suffocated.
And powerless to resist.
"You, you, don't be impulsive, I'll take you there." Forced by the intimidation, Usopp had no choice but to comply.
Led by Usopp, Reno, Nami, and Makino entered Syrup Village.
Along the way, Usopp constantly glanced at Reno out of the corner of his eye, gathering his courage to ask, "S-sir, was what you just said about the pirate true?!"
"Is someone really targeting Kaya?!"
Reno frowned but still nodded, "That's right, he lives in Kaya's house."
Usopp was silent for a while, then suddenly quickened his pace.
Before this, he hadn't believed it.
But now with a sword at his neck, the other party had no reason to lie to him.
If there really was a pirate lurking in Kaya's house, then she was truly in danger.
Glancing at the hurrying Usopp, Reno inwardly grumbled.
For a young lady with Kaya's gentle, innocent, and kind personality, if he were Usopp, their children would already be old enough to buy soy sauce.
Following Usopp, the three quickly arrived in front of a grand mansion with tightly shut gates.
Clearly, this was Kaya's home.
Usopp, who had intended to knock, paused, still half-doubting, "Is the pirate you mentioned really here?!"
As far as he knew, the butler and other servants inside the house were old retainers who had been with Kaya for several years.
"There's nothing for you here, leave quickly." Reno waved his hand.
Usopp opened his mouth, but seeing Reno's somewhat impatient tone, he still turned and left.
But he didn't go far, finding a large rock and hiding behind it to observe.
Reno didn't mind.
Receiving a nod from Reno, Nami immediately stepped forward and knocked on the door.
Knock, knock, knock.
Knock, knock, knock.
A moment later, the large gate slowly opened, and a man in servant's attire emerged.
Merry, Kaya's servant.
"Mr. Merry, is Usopp here?!"
A soft voice suddenly came from inside the door.
Merry turned his head, opening the gate wider.
Immediately after, Reno saw Kaya, with short blonde hair and a somewhat sickly pale complexion.
Nami and Makino simultaneously cast curious glances at Kaya.
As expected of a young lady from a wealthy family, both her appearance and temperament were exceptionally outstanding.
Even suffering from a chronic illness, it couldn't hide her inherent beauty.
Nami pouted, Makino's gaze was strange.
"Miss, it's windy outside, please mind your health." Beside Kaya, the butler, wearing a black suit and with slicked-back hair, reminded her with concern.
"Mr. Klahadore, it's fine for just a moment." Kaya responded with a faint smile on her face.
Klahadore turned his head, staring at the three of them with an unfriendly expression, his eyes flickering.
When he looked at Reno, his brows unconsciously furrowed.
From Reno, he felt a hint of unease.
"It's not Usopp. May I ask what brings you here?!"
Looking at the unfamiliar Reno, Kaya gently inquired.
Reno's gaze met Kaya's, then he extended two fingers and smiled, "Miss Kaya, I have two purposes for coming here."
"First, to help you fight bad guys."
"Second, to cure your illness."
"Absurd!!"
The moment Reyno finished speaking, Klahadore, the butler, immediately retorted angrily, "There are no bad people here, and you don't look like a doctor either."
"Merry, please show them out quickly."
Kaya gently chided, "Klahadore, guests are guests, don't be so rude."
"Miss, they..."
Kuro snorted, but in the end, he didn't say much more, only feeling an increasing sense of unease.
Reyno glanced sideways at the somewhat anxious Kuro, a cold smirk playing on his lips.
If he wasn't afraid of Kaya holding a grudge, he would have killed this bastard without a second thought.
"Sir, please come inside if you have something to say," Kaya invited Reyno and his two companions in.
In the mansion's living room, Merry poured a cup of tea for each of them.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Kaya went straight to the point: "Sir, can you really cure my illness?!"
