The commercial registry issued the review hold notification three days after No Songyi's contact filed the procedural challenge.

Three days. I had expected a week.

No Songyi, who had been watching the registry's processing patterns for months in preparation for exactly this moment, explained it with the precision he brought to everything: someone had prioritized the hold. Which meant either the challenge was being taken very seriously, or someone inside the registry had flagged it for accelerated review because they knew they were being watched.

Either way, the hold was in place.

The development agreement could not be registered for thirty days.

I spent the first morning of the thirty days doing nothing in particular.
