The morning came too soon.
He had barely slept. Every time he closed his eyes, the same name echoed in his mind... and the same strange feeling returned.
Maybe it was just nervousness.
After all...
Today was his first day.
The school gates stood wide open as students walked in, laughing, talking, and catching up after the holidays.
He adjusted the strap of his bag and took a slow breath.
"It's just another school... Nothing special."
Or at least, that's what he wanted to believe.
As he stepped inside the campus, his eyes wandered around the old building. The walls were cracked in places, yet they carried a strange warmth... as if they had watched countless stories unfold.
For a second...
He felt like he had walked these corridors before.
But he quickly shook the thought away.
He reached his classroom.
11-B.
His hand rested on the doorknob for a moment before he finally pushed the door open.
The room fell silent for a few seconds.
Every new student knows that feeling...
Dozens of unfamiliar eyes looking at you.
He gave an awkward smile.
"Good morning, sir."
The teacher looked up from the attendance register.
"So... you're the new student."
He nodded.
The teacher introduced him to the class before asking him to take the only empty seat...
Third row.
Near the window.
As he walked towards it...
Someone entered the classroom in a hurry.
"I'm so sorry, ma'am..."
The girl stopped the moment she noticed him.
He stopped too.
Both of them stared for a second.
"You..."
Neither of them said it aloud.
It was the same girl.
The one he had bumped into yesterday.
She quickly looked away, pretending nothing had happened.
A small smile escaped his lips.
She noticed...
And immediately looked out of the window, trying to hide the embarrassment.
The teacher cleared her throat.
"Since both of you are done staring at each other... please take your seats."
The entire class burst into laughter.
Both of them turned red.
He quietly sat down.
She sat one bench ahead of him.
For the rest of the lecture...
Neither of them paid much attention.
Once or twice...
Their eyes met.
And every single time...
One of them looked away first.
Neither knew why.
But somehow...
Meeting again didn't feel like a coincidence.
It felt...
Like the beginning of something neither of them was ready to understand.
