Blocked by a piece-of-junk katana.
Harvey gave Yukio a dissatisfied glare. An invisible psionic shockwave rattled her consciousness, making her stumble back into a bar booth and nearly fall over.
"Don't touch her!"
The hot-tempered Wolverine instinctively extended his claws, wanting to take down the enemy in front of him.
As it turned out, Harvey didn't even need a spell. After being enhanced by the potion, his current physique was equivalent to a super-soldier's.
"Get lost!"
He delivered a brutal kick that sent Logan flying over ten meters, clattering into several sofas, booths, tables, chairs, and drinks.
Seeing the fight break out, the bar patrons screamed "Monster!" and scrambled for the exit.
The female bartender also crouched behind the counter, shivering in terror, as a pool of unidentified liquid formed on the floor beneath her.
Yukio recovered from the psionic shock. Seeing Logan getting beaten, she charged forward without a word and swung her blade at Harvey's face.
The sharp katana sliced through the air at high speed, seemingly about to split Harvey in two.
Yet it was suddenly held fast by an invisible force, frozen in mid-air and unable to advance an inch.
Harvey's gaze was terrifyingly cold.
"Don't force me to kill you. Why can't you just stick to being superheroes?"
Not only could Yukio not control her katana, but her entire body was also bound by the invisible force. She strained with all her might, her pretty face turning red from the effort, but she couldn't break free.
"You bastard, let me go!"
Logan's irrational healing speed allowed him to climb out of the pile of debris as if nothing had happened.
But seeing Yukio's flushed face, Logan thought she was being taken advantage of and shouted in a rage.
"Bullying a woman is no skill! Come at me if you have the balls!"
With that, Logan raised his claws and charged.
The result was another BOOM. He was sent flying back into the pile of junk at an even faster speed.
Harvey was speechless. He hadn't provoked anyone; why were these two so intent on fighting him?
"Wait a second. I haven't done anything to you, have I?"
"You keep provoking me over and over. Do you think I'm afraid to kill?"
"And since the old bald guy isn't here, who gave you the courage?"
At this moment, Logan, having climbed up yet again, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth without a care. His face was cold as he said, "I'll say it one more time: let Yukio go!"
Faced with the single-minded Logan, Harvey didn't want to fight this meaningless battle any longer and released Yukio.
"Fine. I'm leaving!"
"Remember, if you want to live long, don't provoke me!"
With that, Harvey stepped into a portal and vanished.
Seeing that the detestable sorcerer had finally been driven away, Logan breathed a sigh of relief and stepped forward to support Yukio: "Are you alright?"
Yukio shook her head, indicating she was fine. Her gaze remained fixed on where the portal had just vanished, and she asked curiously, "Who is that man? Did you know him before?"
Logan also stared at the spot where Harvey had disappeared, his face grave as he said:
"He is the mysterious sorcerer the Professor mentioned."
After being reminded, Yukio remembered Professor Charles's warning never to provoke a sorcerer named Harvey.
"He's a legendary sorcerer? Are all sorcerers' physiques this strong?"
Yukio was curious about the so-called sorcerers and activated her precognition, wanting to predict Harvey's future.
But just as she caught a glimpse of a fragment, she found a vast, unstoppable power out of the blue that forcefully crushed her consciousness.
"Pfft..."
Injured by the backlash, she spat out a large mouthful of blood.
"Are you okay?" Logan asked with concern.
Yukio took out a handkerchief and wiped the blood from her nose and mouth. She didn't dare try to predict Harvey's future ever again.
"That sorcerer is ridiculously strong. This is the first time I've met a human whose future I cannot predict."
"You have to understand, even with someone as powerful as Professor Charles, I can predict some fragments of his future."
"But just now, I had a strong intuition that if I forcibly pried into his future, I would likely die from the backlash."
Seeing that Yukio had only spat some blood and was otherwise unharmed, Logan retracted his claws indifferently.
Then he hopped over the counter and grabbed a bottle of vodka from the shelf, downing it in one go like a boss.
After finishing a bottle of high-proof vodka like it was plain water, he smacked his lips and said, "Not bad... this stuff has a real kick."
The female bartender hiding behind the counter screamed and ran away in a panic.
Yukio couldn't be bothered with the fleeing bartender and looked helplessly at the alcoholic Logan. "Don't drink too much. I still have to take you to see Mr. Yashida tonight."
Logan let out a satisfied beer burp. A tipsy state was the easiest time to fall into memories, and he seemed to open up, narrating:
"Ichirō Yashida, that death-fearing coward, has grown old too. Back in the day, he didn't even have the guts to commit seppuku. After living in hiding for all these years, he still has to die eventually..."
Yukio listened, stunned. She never expected that Yashida, who had built one of Japan's five major conglomerates from scratch, would have such a dark history.
...
On the other side.
After Harvey walked out of the bar, he sharply sensed several hidden gazes around him.
Without a thought, these were definitely the subordinates sent by the villain Ichirō Yashida to watch Logan.
He hadn't intended to meddle in others' business, but several men in suits with expressionless faces walked over and said arrogantly, "Sir, our patriarch wishes to see you."
Harvey let out a helpless sigh.
"Do I really look that easy to bully? How come every Tom, Dick, and Harry thinks they can block my path?"
With that, he used a thought to cast Sectumsempra. Several invisible, shadowless blades shot out.
"Squelch! Squelch!"
He sliced the four suited men clean in half at the waist.
Fresh blood geysered from their severed torsos, shooting over two meters high!
This scene, as bloody as a horror movie, left the surrounding pedestrians dumbfounded.
Once they snapped out of it, they began screaming and scattering in every direction.
After clearing out the trash, Harvey turned to leave.
A Toyota Century luxury sedan slowly drove up beside him, and the automatic window rolled down.
Sitting in the back seat was a beautiful young woman exuding a noble, aristocratic aura, wearing a woman's suit. She was pointing a pistol at him.
"Please get in the car, sir. The patriarch wishes to see you."
Harvey ignored the muzzle pointed at him and instead looked the Sakura girl up and down with great interest.
This girl's elegant, aristocratic temperament was particularly attractive.
She should be the female lead from the original plot, Logan's lover, and the granddaughter of the villain Ichirō Yashida—Mariko.
But she probably hadn't become Logan's lover yet. It just so happened that he hadn't experienced whether Sakura girls were truly exceptionally obedient and submissive.
He definitely couldn't miss this opportunity.
Moreover, as one of Japan's largest conglomerate families, the Yashidas would definitely know the location of The Hand's secret headquarters.
Taking care of official business shouldn't stop him from taking care of personal business, after all.
So, Harvey gladly accepted the invitation, brazenly pulled open the car door, and sat down next to Mariko.
The Toyota Century started up slowly and soon merged into the busy traffic.
Harvey smelled the faint, elegant fragrance coming from beside him, and his heart stirred. He offered a greeting without changing his expression:
"Hello. I am Harvey Ferguson, just an ordinary traveler. I'm quite curious why your grandfather would want to see me."
