Chapter 1 - The Boy and the Rain

Kavi was a boy who lived on the streets. He had no shoes and no home. Every day, he sat outside a big bakery. He watched people buy warm bread. They looked at him like he was a piece of trash on the ground. Kavi believed this was his "destiny." He thought, "I was born poor, and I will die poor. That is my story." He had one friend: a small, thin dog named Moti. Moti was shaking and lost. They slept together under a piece of plastic when it rained. Kavi would give Moti the tiny crusts of bread he found. "We are the same, Moti," he whispered. "The world has no place for us.

"One night, a terrible storm came. The wind was like a monster. Moti was very sick. He was breathing slowly, his eyes closed. Kavi held the dog tight to his chest. He cried and cried. "Please," Kavi prayed. "Don't let him die. This can't be how our story ends. "A man from the bakery walked out to throw away the trash. He saw the boy sobbing over the dying dog. The man stopped. He didn't walk away this time. He knelt in the mud. "Come inside," the man said. Kavi nodded his head. "No. I am a street boy. This is my life. I am destined to be here. "The man looked Kavi in the eyes. "Who told you that? "You can come in". The man said. But Kavi refused to do so.

Kavi was terrified because the same incident had taken place 3years ago when he lived with his parents on the same street in a small broken house. where once the house got completely destroyed because of the storm. his parents were sick and old they worked day and night to a earn a penny to get food atleast for once a day

sadly Kavi's father passed away due to heart attack, his mother also did not stay for long. Kavi was left lonely then. There comes another terrifying night. It was all dark. seemed like even the streets fell asleep. A giant man approaches Kavi and ask him to come with him. Promising that he would give him a better life to live. Kavi felt as if his life is about to change. Kavi agreed to go with the man. But as he reached his place, it was all a dark horrifying room, a red light bulb hanging at the corner, with many "X" marks on the pictures over the wall. Kavi learnt that his thoughts that his life was about to change were all wrong. He quietly stepped backward to escape the room. There was a dog on the gate tied tightly with chains holding tears in his eyes.

Kavi untied the dog. and ran away escaping the house. Kavi named the dog as Moti. Kavi was traumatized after that incident. And refused to everything comes his ways.

Kavi felt as if the same incident is taking place as the bakery owner comes actually to help him. While the man was trying to help Kavi carry Moti inside, Kavi shouted and cried loudly taking back Moti from his hands. saying "This is my life". The man eventually passed giving him a Loaf of warm bread.
