Chapter 13 - Neon Spire

Moon stepped through the golden portal. He expected to fight more monsters, but the world he entered was completely different.

He was standing on a high balcony made of glowing glass. Below him was a massive city that looked like it was from the future. Huge neon signs in colors like hot pink and electric blue floated in the air. Flying metal cars zoomed between tall, silver buildings.

Everything here was bright, high-tech, and very rich.

[Welcome to the Third Floor: The Neon Spire.]

[Special Status: Administrator Domain.]

[Notice: You are the first player to enter this zone. Reward: 2,000 Life Points.]

Moon looked at his stats. He was richer than any player in history. But he wasn't alone. He saw other figures walking on the streets below. They weren't players—they were [Residents]. They looked like humans, but they had glowing wires in their skin and robot parts.

Moon walked toward a giant building that looked like a temple.

Cling. Clang.

A small robot with one wheel rolled up to him. It had a screen for a face that showed a happy emoji.

"Greetings, Guest 000!" the robot said in a squeaky voice. "You have achieved a High Rank. Would you like to see the Elite Shop?"

"Elite Shop?" Moon asked. "Show me."

The robot led him into the building. Inside, there were no rusty swords or dry bread. Instead, there were glowing jars of power and high-tech weapons.

[Elite Item: Nanobot Armor. Cost: 1,000 Life Points.]

[Elite Item: Mana Battery (Infinite Use). Cost: 1,500 Life Points.]

Moon looked at the items, but then he saw a small, dusty box in the corner. It wasn't glowing. It looked like a piece of junk.

[Item: Broken System Key.]

[Cost: 50 Admin Fragments.]

Moon's eyes narrowed. Normal players wouldn't even have Admin Fragments. He had over 100. He walked to the box.

"I'll take the key," Moon said.

"Oh! No one ever buys that!" the robot chirped.

Moon handed over the fragments. As soon as he touched the key, it dissolved into red sparks and entered his mind.

[Classless Activated: Repairing System Key...]

[New Mastery Gained: Admin Access (Level 1).]

[Benefit: You can now see the 'Invisible Code' behind the world.]

Suddenly, the world changed. Moon could see hidden wires in the air. He could see the "Health Bars" of buildings. He could even see the secret messages the Game Masters were sending to each other!

One message was blinking in bright red text right in the middle of the air.

[Admin_004: Subject 000 has entered the Spire. Do not let him reach the Core. Send the High Hunter.]

Moon smiled. "The High Hunter? Sounds like he'll have some good stats for me to harvest."
