I slept better than I expected. Maybe it was all the exhaustion from studying, or the warmth of his presence beside me the entire night, but it was definitely one of the best sleeping I've ever experienced.

My throat still felt like it was on fire.
"Don't talk too much, I don't want your vocals messed up more than they already are."
"Are you still beating yourself up?" I asked.
"Of course I am. I fucking choked my girlfriend last night."
"That's unfair to you."
"It was a lot more unfair to you than it was to me. I could have killed you!" If you hadn't slapped me. I might have."
