Ficool

Chapter 1 - chapter 1:A life that Ended too soon

The fluorescent lights above my office flickered once, then stabilized. I rubbed my eyes, blinking at the endless pile of paperwork on my desk. Another late night, another missed dinner, another day wasted in a cubicle that felt like a coffin.

And then—pain. Sharp, sudden, like a lightning strike coursing through my chest. My vision blurred, my limbs went numb, and before I could scream, darkness swallowed me.

I thought… this is it. My life ends here, in a cramped office, under fluorescent lights. How pathetic.

When I opened my eyes again, the world had changed.

It wasn't darkness, not really. Sunlight streamed through enormous windows, casting warm patterns across a room I could never have imagined. Velvet curtains hung from tall ceilings, chandeliers sparkled overhead, and a bed the size of a small castle dominated the room. The scent of rich perfume and expensive wood filled the air.

…and I wasn't in my body anymore.

I stared at the reflection in the ornate mirror across the room. Pale skin, delicate features, soft lips that were nothing like mine… I was an omega. A beautiful omega. My own jaw dropped. My hands—slender, smooth—trembled as I touched my face.

"What… the hell?" I muttered, my voice higher, lighter, completely foreign.

From the shadows of the room, a figure emerged. Tall. Broad-shouldered. Everything about him screamed danger and control. His eyes, sharp and dark, locked onto me.

"You're… awake," he said, his voice low, measured, and impossibly commanding.

I swallowed. "Yeah… just… a little confused," I managed, forcing a smile that probably looked more like a grimace.

He stepped closer, the soft click of his shoes echoing through the room. I felt the weight of his gaze like a physical force pressing against my chest. "You should be," he said, eyes narrowing slightly. "It takes time for the body to… adjust."

I wanted to run, but the legs under me weren't entirely mine to command. Panic clawed at my chest. "Adjust? What do you mean? Where am I? Who—"

His eyes flicked to mine, and then something strange happened. A shiver ran down my spine. It wasn't just the gaze… it was something deeper, almost invasive. A whisper in my mind. You think I can't hear you?

I froze. My thoughts weren't private. Every single one, from my panic to my scheming, was laid bare before him.

"I… I don't understand," I stammered, stepping back.

"You will," he said, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Welcome to my world."

This wasn't just a new body. This wasn't just a new life. This was a world where everything I knew about power, desire, and survival had flipped upside down. And the alpha standing before me… he could read my mind.

Suddenly, my original plan—to play along, get his money, and escape—felt like trying to hide a candle in a hurricane.

And the worst part? My heartbeat betrayed me. I was drawn to him already, despite every warning screaming in my mind.

I had stepped into a trap of luxury, danger, and forbidden desire. And I wasn't sure I would ever escape.
