Lucian's POV
I was in my room getting ready for my long-awaited engagement and all for the sake of the clan members, and I smirked sensing what was about to happen.
I looked at Tengshe who was busy fixing my dress.
"Tengshe."
He got up and bowed, "Yes, your highness."
"Isn't it about time our dear guest arrives?" I asked looking at myself in the mirror and he nodded but was unsure about my smirk.
"You and Martin go personally to receive him and make sure Catherine is safe in our castle and don't let him take her away."
My voice went cold.
"If anything happens to her, everyone in charge of taking care of her will turn to ashes."
He nodded.
"And one more thing," I said and he looked at me.
"About the return gift for Prince Leviathan, make sure he receives it once the banquet is over and he will feel very happy to receive that gift."
He nodded again.
"Okay, you are now off to go," I said and he nodded and left me alone in the room.
I looked at myself in the mirror and smirked imagining the reaction of that bastard after seeing what I was about to give him.

Lyra's POV
I was in my room. Catherine was getting me ready.
Don't get tensed, Lyra. You can do this. You absolutely can do this. It's the only chance. Don't ruin it by getting tensed.
I kept repeating it in my head.
Cathy looked at me.
"Cathy, what should I do? It's really happening. How now?" I asked, tensed.
She looked at me.
"Don't worry, Lyra. It's not like it's your wedding, right? It's just an engagement , not wedding right."
She made me feel slightly okay.
I suddenly hugged her tight.
Because this would be the last time I would see her.
I knew that. But she didn't.
"I would miss a good friend like you, Cathy," I blurted out.
She got shocked.
"What do you mean—"
She tried to push me back and see my face, but instead, I hugged her harder.
"I mean, what if your fiancé manages to take you away today? I would miss you, right?"
I said it quickly. Covering.
She blushed instantly.
I started teasing her to make her forget the small thing I just slipped.
God help me. Let me be successful in this plan, I thought while teasing her.

Author's POV
As said by the Demon Lord, Tengshe and Martin quickly went to receive the Dragon Lord Leviathan Thalassa and Martin was at the entrance and he received Leviathan.
"Lord Leviathan," Martin said with that familiar closeness and father-like kindness because at least the Demon Lord had someone like Martin beside him but the Dragon King had no one beside him since the incident.
Leviathan just nodded at Martin and then he entered.
His body was huge built like he could carry ten lions at once and he was really big and behind him followed someone nearly as large but compared to Leviathan he was nowhere near him.
Inferno Sol, the fiancé of Catherine Miller.
Martin smiled at him and said "Inferno" and Inferno gave a light smile to Martin and a nod to Tengshe and even though both the clans were neck and neck with each other, these types of events were considered sacred and messing with them involved all the different clans and would destroy the peace and bring destruction and ultimately the heavens would make every clan go extinct so instead of anger, wisdom took over.
"The preparations are over the top," said a cold voice to Martin.
"It would be, Mr. Leviathan," said the Demon Lord who just entered the main room with his intimidating presence and aura which equally matched the Dragon King and whoever saw them both thought the same thing that if these two could collide they could rule the world with that much power in their hands and individually they were the unofficial heads of all these clans where no one not even an ant dared to make a noise between them.
Leviathan and Lucian's features hardened upon seeing each other and neither of them held back a snarl.
"Heard you were marrying a mortal," Leviathan snarked.
"Of course I would, knowing how much someone gets disgusted by their mere presence," Lucian said sitting on a chair and gesturing for Leviathan to sit opposite to him and he smirked.
"Just to spite me you are doing something you hate too right and the fact that no one hates humans more than us, what do you say Lord Lucian?" Leviathan raised a glass to his lips and Lucian smirked.
"But once you see that human you will definitely want to find out who that mortal woman is," Lucian said raising a glass and just then Martin, Tengshe and Inferno Sol came to them and Leviathan looked at Inferno and Inferno bowed to Lucian and his eyes were looking everywhere just one glance searching for someone.
Just then Leviathan got up.
"I will take the return gift myself as formally I came to your engagement banquet," said Leviathan gritting his teeth.
"I would have wanted to gift you the thing you asked for but what should I do, I need that return gift as much as I need and instead I will give you something more precious and to get that you are going to fight me," said Lucian and hearing that Leviathan got angry.
Before it got even chillier between them, Martin came in between them.
"My lord, your highness," he said and they both looked at him.
"The banquet is about to start and they require your presence," he said trembling looking at Lucian and Lucian nodded before going to the banquet hall.

Lyra's POV
God help me get through this and I don't know how to but what if that ring wasn't on his finger and I should have searched his room, oh my god.
It's okay Lyra, you can do this and nobody can stop you not even that pig jerk of a man.
I was cursing him in my head when the doors opened and Cathy came in.
"Lyra, it's time and we need to go," she said and my heart pounded because this was it and I needed to face it.
Lyra, we are going home today by hook or by crook, I said to myself and walked out with Cathy and she took my arm and led me to a big banquet hall.
There were so many people and they looked like different creatures and I dared not look at them and some of them were gawking at me and then one snarl and everyone stopped, the whispers and the gawking and everything.
And there straight ahead of me stood my would-be fiancé, my tormentor and also one of the ways to my leaving this cold demon palace and he was also one of the way.
God please let me succeed in this and I'm not blaming you for making me come here but don't take my chance of leaving away, I prayed in my head but stopped when Cathy started visibly shaking and closing her eyes and just looking down while walking.
What happened to her and why was she shaking?
I looked around while walking and tried to follow her eyes and then I saw eyes that made my world stop because those eyes screamed something familiar but I couldn't pinpoint it and before I could dwell on it a strong hand pulled me closer and brought me back to this world.
The same arm slid around my waist and I remembered the green ring and he held my hand in his and his other hand was around my waist and he kissed my forehead and he had the green ring and I smiled brightly and clutched his hand tight.
He looked at me smirking and said "Are you that eager to marry me, Mrs. Blackfrost?" in his husky voice near my ear making me shiver.
I coughed and moved a little far away and said "Who wouldn't want to become one?" smiling sweetly because today was the last day and I would escape so to deceive him I started acting extra sweetly.
He raised an eyebrow and looked at the members.
"As you all know, today we are gathered here to celebrate the engagement banquet and let's have the ceremony started," said Martin handing me a ring.
As the thing we all know , was that Miss Lyra vega had to put her heart blood in the ring and the the half moon which is present on the ring glows and if the marriage between Miss Lyra Vega and Lord Lucian Blackfrost was chosen by the heavens it would give the another same ring,the ring where it gives the another half moon to complete the ritual and his lord would have to put the heart blood to seal the engagement and if not he would make her his fated mate by putting his blood into the same half moon ring and the heavens would acknowledge it and give their blessings the same way.
I looked at him not understanding and he just looked at me smirking.
"Didn't you promise me you would not take my heart out and what is this, are you going to kill me for blood?" I asked almost teary and he just smirked.
He took a small knife and I closed my eyes to let him take my heart out thinking this would be my heart out and oh so this was how I go out from the demon world by dying and I knew God I should have known my luck.
Before I could think anything else he slowly sliced at my collarbone near the heart nerve and I screamed slightly in pain and he took blood and put it on the ring and dropped the knife and held his hand over the wound he just made and did something and the wound was gone.
"I will take my sweet time enjoying your heart princess so don't worry and don't make my heart go extinct already," he said pointing to my heart with such a voice that made me shiver.
We both looked at the ring but the ring didn't show anything.
"As expected," someone from the crowd said, "how would a mere mortal become his chosen queen?" and one glare from Lucian and in minutes that person became ashes and I was just shocked.
"Whoever dares to disrespect my fiancé will face the same situation," he said and the atmosphere suddenly turned cold just like frozen winter and I was too much scared to even look at him.
Then he took the knife and was about to do something when suddenly there was a big glow on the ring and the ring rose into the air and suddenly........
