"We turn back," Karrakas said immediately. "That's the safe call, and I'd be a poor guide if I didn't put it first."
"Something is wrong with the beast behavior in this section, and when the rules stop applying, then we have no reason to take the maps as gospel. And the maps are half of what keeps Climbers alive down here."
"Turn back to where, though?" Akira said. "Fort One? And do what? Wait for someone else to figure out what's happening?"
"Report it to the pavilion, at minimum. Beast behavior anomalies are exactly the kind of thing they pay for."
