"Each cultivation level has ten sub-levels," she explained, pointing to the chart. "These correspond to nodes—energy points scattered across the body. Body Cultivation nodes are red—they lie along the limbs and torso. Energy Cultivation nodes are blue—centered on the chest, palms, and feet. Spirit Cultivation nodes are green—found at the temples, crown of the head, and spine. Enlightenment nodes are gold—they connect to the very core of our being."
"How many nodes does a typical cultivator have?" Miguel asked, leaning closer to the chart.
Amihan entered carrying a heavy wooden box, dusting off its carved lid. "Most have between 20 and 30 nodes total—some may unlock more with hard work, but potential is set at birth. That's where this comes in."
She opened the box to reveal a glowing crystal, cut into the shape of a star and pulsing with soft light. "This is the Kristal ng Potensyal—ancient beyond memory. It measures how many nodes a cultivator can awaken in their lifetime."
Lola Sabel held the crystal over Miguel's palm. "When we place it against your skin, it will show us your path. Are you ready to see what lies within you?"
