"You have to add the chemical this way, Lydia. You are messing up the formula," steep said to a stressed Lydia who quite literally stood at the corner while the assistant teacher — the serpent twin himself — hovered way too close during potions class.
Lydia nodded quickly, cheeks warm as she tried to focus on the bubbling cauldron. Steep was assisting the potions teacher today, and the vampire instructor had already called him out twice for being "awfully and obviously attentive" to one particular student. Steep, of course, was enjoying every second of it, leaning in with that signature smirk while correcting her measurements and By the looks of Lydia's unrelenting beaming smile she was too.
But who wouldn't, Steep had done half of her work... literally.
