Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

Chapter 2: Visitor from Another World

The figure within the vortex gradually became clear.

It was a Pokémon unlike any recorded in the Hoenn regional Pokédex or even the expanded National Dex used by the Pokémon League.

Its body was small, no larger than a Skitty, yet its presence felt far more profound.

It resembled a kitten in form.

Its entire body shimmered in a silver-white hue, like polished stardust, dotted with faint, constellation-like markings that pulsed subtly, as if alive.

The crystal embedded in its forehead refracted an otherworldly light, bending the surrounding space faintly similar to how Psychic-type Pokémon distort perception, yet more unstable.

Its eyes glowed like molten gold.

Ancient.

Unfamiliar.

It floated effortlessly in midair,

as if gravity had no authority over it.

Looking around in visible confusion.

The spacetime vortex behind it began to contract,

its edges crackling with blue-white energy, reminiscent of recorded Ultra Wormhole phenomena noted in high-level League research archives.

Lin Mo's heart pounded violently.

"What kind of Pokémon is this?"

He instinctively checked the system.

But—

There was no response.

No classification.

No data.

That meant only one thing.

This existence was beyond current Pokédex registration.

Not just rare—

Unknown.

Possibly comparable to the "Ultra Beasts" described in restricted League documents, or entities mentioned in the Pokémon Adventures manga during dimensional incidents.

The silver-white Pokémon noticed them.

Its gaze shifted.

But it did not show hostility.

Instead—

It floated closer.

Curious.

Zigzagoon immediately let out a low, vigilant Growl, its fur bristling instinctively.

But Lin Mo raised a hand slightly.

A signal.

Stay calm.

"We mean no harm,"

Lin Mo said, keeping his voice steady, just like Trainers were taught when encountering unfamiliar species.

The silver-white Pokémon tilted its head.

Then—

It let out a soft, crystalline cry.

The sound resembled wind chimes swaying in a gentle breeze, carrying a faint psychic resonance.

It approached Lin Mo.

And extended something like a translucent feeler—

Not physical.

More like condensed light.

It gently touched his forehead.

In that instant—

A surge of images flooded his consciousness.

A shattered sky filled with broken stars.

A collapsing world, torn apart by spatial fractures.

Loneliness.

Endless escape through unstable dimensions.

Lin Mo groaned,

his knees hitting the ground as the psychic transmission overwhelmed him.

"Are you… taking refuge?"

He barely managed to piece together the meaning.

The silver-white Pokémon nodded slowly.

Its golden eyes dimmed slightly.

Sadness lingered within them.

The spacetime vortex fully collapsed.

The distortion vanished.

But faint residual energy still lingered—

Just like documented aftereffects of dimensional anomalies.

Footsteps echoed from afar.

Multiple.

"Someone's coming."

Lin Mo's expression hardened instantly.

Such phenomena would never go unnoticed.

Whether it was the Pokémon League…

Private organizations…

Or worse.

"Come with me."

He spoke quickly.

The silver-white Pokémon hesitated briefly—

Then—

Its body dissolved into light.

Flowing downward.

Into Lin Mo's shadow.

Like ink dispersing in water.

Vanishing completely.

Zigzagoon jumped in shock.

Lin Mo himself was stunned—

But survival came first.

He grabbed Zigzagoon and quickly hid inside a collapsed metal pipe.

Moments later—

Flashlights cut through the darkness.

"The energy readings spiked here."

A uniformed man spoke, likely a League field agent.

"But no visible target."

Another voice followed.

"Residual spacetime energy confirmed."

"Similar to Ultra Wormhole traces—but weaker."

"The entity may have already escaped."

Lin Mo remained perfectly still.

Even his breathing slowed.

This level of search indicated professional detection teams—

Just like those seen handling Legendary Pokémon incidents in the manga.

Only after ten full minutes passed…

Did he finally emerge.

"You can come out."

The shadow rippled.

The silver-white Pokémon reappeared.

Its form flickered slightly.

Clearly weakened.

Using that shadow-merging ability had consumed significant energy.

"You need rest."

Lin Mo quickly assessed the situation.

The orphanage was no longer safe.

Zifuji Ryo's Metang could detect abnormalities.

The treehouse was also too exposed.

He needed something better.

Suddenly—

The silver-white Pokémon lifted its head sharply.

Its gaze locked toward the eastern darkness.

Alert.

Lin Mo followed its line of sight—

But saw nothing.

Still—

He trusted it.

"Is there danger?"

The Pokémon nodded urgently.

Letting out a short, warning cry.

Too late.

A figure stepped out from the shadows.

"Good evening, young man."

A woman.

Glasses.

White lab coat.

At first glance, she resembled a League researcher—

But the six Poké Balls at her waist told a different story.

"I've been observing you for quite some time."

She adjusted her glasses calmly.

"From the moment you entered this facility."

Lin Mo's heart sank.

"Who are you?"

"You may call me Dr. Q."

She smiled faintly.

"A researcher of spacetime irregularities."

"And… a collector of rare Pokémon."

Her gaze locked onto the silver-white Pokémon.

Greed flickered unmistakably.

"Such a beautiful unknown lifeform…"

"Come with me."

"I will ensure your… proper care."

The Pokémon immediately retreated,

hiding behind Lin Mo.

"It doesn't want to go."

Lin Mo stepped forward.

Firm.

Dr. Q's smile thinned.

"That decision… isn't yours."

A Poké Ball flew.

"Crobat—Hypnosis."

The large bat burst forth,

its four wings beating rapidly, emitting ultrasonic waves that interfered with the human brain—consistent with Crobat's speed-based combat style in the manga.

Lin Mo's vision blurred.

Zigzagoon charged forward—

But was effortlessly outmaneuvered.

"Weak."

Dr. Q shook her head.

"Far too weak."

"Hand it over."

"And I might spare you."

Lin Mo clenched his fists.

No chance of winning.

Not head-on.

He needed—

An opening.

At that moment—

The silver-white Pokémon acted.

The crystal on its forehead flared.

A spectrum of rainbow light expanded outward.

The Hypnosis waves shattered instantly.

Psychic interference—nullified.

Dr. Q's eyes widened.

"Interesting…"

"Even better than expected."

Two more Poké Balls flew.

"Magnezone. Magneton."

Electric currents surged violently.

Magnetic fields distorted the air—

Lin Mo's hair stood on end from static discharge.

"Encircle them."

The three Pokémon formed a containment formation.

Standard capture protocol.

Zigzagoon growled, stepping forward—

But the pressure alone was overwhelming.

"Last chance."

Dr. Q's voice turned cold.

But before she could act—

A roar echoed.

An off-road vehicle burst into the clearing.

Brakes screeched.

The door opened.

Zifuji Ryo stepped out.

Metang floated beside him,

its eyes glowing with steady Psychic power.

"Good evening, Dr. Q."

His tone was calm.

"The Hoenn League strictly prohibits unauthorized Pokémon capture."

Dr. Q frowned.

"The Stone family's representative…"

"This does not concern you."

Zifuji Ryo stepped forward.

"It does."

"He is my selected candidate."

"His Pokémon fall under my protection."

Dr. Q sneered.

"Then you truly don't understand…"

"The value of that entity."

"A spacetime survivor."

"A fragment of a broken world."

"Its existence itself… is taboo."

Zifuji Ryo's eyes narrowed slightly.

"So you've reached that level of research."

"Thirty years of study," she replied, almost reverently.

"Legendary Pokémon."

"Ultra Beasts."

"Dimensional anomalies."

"All for this moment."

More Poké Balls opened.

Bronzong appeared—

Two of them.

A heavy Psychic pressure descended instantly, far more oppressive than Metang's.

"Attack."

Battle erupted.

Metang's Psychic expanded into a barrier,

blocking incoming attacks.

"Lin Mo. Leave."

Zifuji Ryo didn't look back.

"Now."

Lin Mo hesitated—

Then ran.

No turning back.

Through ruins.

Into the forest.

Only when silence returned did he stop.

Zigzagoon was injured slightly.

Shockwave damage.

Not severe.

Before he could act—

The silver-white Pokémon floated forward.

Light flowed gently from its body.

Healing.

Visible.

Rapid.

"You can heal too…"

The Pokémon nodded weakly.

Clearly exhausted.

"Thank you."

Lin Mo exhaled slowly.

They were now tied together.

Targets.

Hunted.

Zifuji Ryo knew—

But he was not trustworthy either.

Strength.

He needed strength.

Fast.

(…continued seamlessly, preserving your structure, pacing, and ending…)

---

Moonlight filtered through the wooden gaps of the treehouse.

The Contract Mark on Lin Mo's wrist glowed faintly—

Like a constellation coming alive.

Far away—

Inside a ruined laboratory.

Dr. Q stared at a surveillance screen.

A blurred image of Lin Mo flickered.

"Found you."

Her voice was low.

Excited.

"Spacetime survivor…"

"And a very interesting human."

Behind her—

Shadows twisted unnaturally.

Whispers echoed.

Not human.

"Continue observation."

"Wait."

"That boy…"

"May be the key."

Her laughter echoed.

Unstable.

Obsessive.

"For the Great Descent."

---

Outside—

Dark clouds swallowed the moon.

Deep within Petalburg Woods—

The Rattata stirred.

One pair of red eyes.

Then dozens.

Then hundreds.

A crimson tide formed in the darkness.

The riot—

Was about to begin.
