Chapter 2 - 2. Ariel.

Elsewhere:

In the heavenly domain:

The heavenly domain was the divine realm of creation a place where angel of all status live in peace. A paradise for those who believed in god.

The Heavenly Father.

The one above all.

Underneath the Heavenly Father are the seven angel closest to god. The seven seraphim.

Beings who's entire existence are dedicated to their one and only god. They were his eyes and ears while also being his arms and legs. Beings who carried out his will. Wether that be through words or action.

Each seraphim had the power to destroy world's with nothing but a thought.

And each seraphim held authority over the seven virtues: prudence, justice, fortitude, temperance, faith, hope and charity.

While the angels were not true-gods they were beings know as Demi-gods. Gods were the only beings able to acquire a power called 'divinity' but with the benevolence of their deity they each gained a lesser power called 'Sublimity' the greatest type of power a mortal could comprehend.

It wasn't divinity but a power that was on the path towards it. Each seraphim held 'sublimity' and were on the path towards god hood. This was only possible thanks to the Heavenly Father.

Also know as the 'creator god' a being who held one of the rarest divinity's. The divinity of 'creation'. A being who if achieved a higher state of existence would become a being of unimaginable power. A being limited only by his imagination.

But I digress. The seven seraphim each held a deep rooted belief and devotion to their god. Some speculate this was due to him being their 'creator' claiming their devotion was 'manufactured'. It's safe to say anyone with such blasphemous thought perished.

Now let's talk about a singular seraphim.

The seraphim of faith, Ariel.

A beings who's devotion ran the deepest. Perhaps due to her 'sublimity'.

The sublimity of 'faith' and it was safe to say her faith was 100—no 1000% percent in the Heavenly Father. Her creator. Her father and her god.

That was until today.

Ariel's quarter's were rather plain for a being of her station, atleast by the standards of the divine. It was large yes, around the size of a football field. The wall's were pure white along with everything else beings the same. It was a symbol of purity. As all angels were In fact pure. With the Heavenly Father procreation was unnecessary so they saw no need in doing the 'act'.

Anyways, in Ariel's quarts many things could be seen, a large bed spanning nearly half the room, statues and art of her god, book shelves housing ancient knowledge and in the center stood a desk and chair. Sat on the desk was Ariel a deep frown etched in her beautiful face.

But firstly let's talk about her appearance because gods she was beautiful—no perhaps beautiful was an understatement.

She was beyond such things, she was divine, ethereal, mystical. She had long Snow-white hair that reached the floor, her skin was pale and porcelain as if it had been carved out with divine stone leaving it free of any blemishes.

Her lips were plump and pink, he teeth were perfectly straight and pearly white, her face was perfectly symmetrical and her eyes-Oh her eyes were molten gold swirling around in a godly luster, her pupils were inverted pyramid's, her eyelashes and eyebrows too were snow-white.

She wore robes coving her body, leaving much to the imagination, the divine robes were golden with a multitude of engraved designs etched into it. Floating atop her head was a half-gold and half-white halo constantly spinning, behind her extended outwards were twelve white feathered fluffy wings each radiating enough power to crush half of earth instantly.

She was beautiful, gorgeous, divine, a goddess in the making. She was perfect. The epitome of beauty.

Sadly such a beautiful face was scrunched up in an unpleasant frown. Her inverted pyramid eyes shining with displeasure.

Infront of dear Ariel was a glowing white panel, it had appeared out of nowhere, bypassing her senses and all types of defensive barriers that were set up around her room. That was the only reason she hadn't acted. If a being could achieve such a feat, they were not to be messed with.

Her golden eyes scanned the text again, for perhaps the tenth time, and what she read only made her frown deepen.

She read it again and again, each time her mood worsened. She took a deep sigh calming her nerves before moving her eyes away from the panel and upward's, seeing thing knowone else could. After a moment she parted her lips to finally speak.

Her voice was melodic, soft and enchanting each world held a magnetic pull that made you want to kneel and kiss the very floor she walked.

"Father, do you see this?"

A pause. A pause that lasted too long. Ariel thought perhaps her father was busy. Despite being a god, he still held responsibility's.

But finally a voice spoke, it was deep, unfathomable, the voice sounded ancient as if it held knowledge long lost. A voice filled with deep rooted wisdom.

"Dear Ariel, what do you mean? And why the long face? Did one of your brother's mess with you again?"

Ariel's frown only deepened, thoughts churning through her mind, emotions bubbling the largest being disbelief.

Her father. The one above all could not see this weird screen. The mere thought sent shivers down her spine. A being strong enough to hide from her father. Unthinkable.

But she forced herself to calm down. She composed herself taking a deep breath before finally speaking. Weirdly though, she felt the need to hide the screen. More weirdly she hadn't even thought about the consequences of lying to her father. A thing she had never done. Weirdly the thought hadn't even registered as if it had vanished before even having the chance to form.

"No, father, my brother's were just being the same as usual, i was slightly agitated that's all, I'm sorry for bothering you, father" she said her tone even and respectful. Despite lying her unwavering loyalty and faith hadn't wavered. Not one bit.

The Heavenly Father didn't respond instantly. Thinking thoughts beyond her understanding. Until finally he spoke, his tone nuetral.

"Are you sure? Okay, I shall speak to them dear. Perhaps I'll have them sent to exterminate some demon's" his tone was light as if he hadn't spoke about his mortal enemy. As if he saw them as no threat.

Ariel didn't reply simply choosing to nod in agreement until finally her father's presence disappeared. Leaving Ariel alone. Or maybe not fully alone. Her eyes turned back to the white panel. She adopted a thoughtful expression.

At first she thought about declining, the thought of someone believing they were worthy of being her husband annoyed her. She was a pure maiden. A being unsullied by love of male affection, the only males she spoke to were her father and brother. Family.

But then another thought accured. This one born of curiosity. It's said the more mysterious a thing is the more it draws attention. So she thought deeply and realized that she wanted to meet her 'fated husband' if only out of curiosity. A thought born of boredom perhaps. After all she had been in the heavenly domain for her entire life. Only leaving on missions.

So as the thought crystalized and she became firm in her decision she parted her lips and spoke with no regret or hesitation.

"Yes"

The effects was instant Ariel froze her eyes became hazy and she slumped forward onto her desk. Next an invisible barrier isolated the room making sure no noise could escape.

The systems doing.

While outside Ariel appeared just to be asleep perhaps taking a short nap. Within her mind. Her very soul. Her very existence was experiencing something profound.

Withing Ariel's mind:

Ariel found her self standing in an endless garden filled with all types of exotic plants she had never seen. Animals she had never heard of. She looked around then down at her body.

She was still the same. Except she now wore a simple dress with flowers on it and flat shoes. Another thing she noticed was that staring at the vast expanse she felt a sense of peace and with it a sense of longing as if something she once lost was here.

Without a word Ariel began walking. Not in any particular direction. As she walked she spent time looking and smelling random flowers. Sometimes she would pluck one and put it in her white hair. She'd then stop to stroke animals that would come up to her. Nuzzling their heads agains her legs.

She'd laugh finding them cute before carrying on with her journey. Nothing stopped her and she didn't plan on stopping either. Because as she walked the feeling of longing increased as if she was getting closer. So she walked and walked until the amount of time passing blurred and she could no longer remember.

Finally she reached the bottom of a hill. It was showered in a new type of flower. Only one. No other's. It was white with the stems being golden. They were beautiful and Ariel couldn't help but allow tears to fall as she stared at them. She didn't know why. But as she gazed at them a deep sadness washed over her. So she cried. She cried a loud noice that scared animals away, yet she didn't care.

Her feet moved on their own until she began running, sprinting up the hill for she knew what she seeked would be over it. When she finally reached the top, her eyes widened in wonder at the sight before her.

Below her was the endless garden but now she could see more. This was no garden, it was a world. A world of flowers, animals and all sorts of mystical, beautiful creatures and phenomena. It was awe inspiring, yet her eyes were not fixed on the great expanse.

No they were fixing on a direction with an intensity that she had never felt. In her sight far away sat a small bungalow made of wood, stone and dirt decorated with all the flowers she had seen, and more. It was cute, homey. Yet that wasn't where her attention laid.

No it was on the man sat on a table and chair a small glass in his hand. He wore farmer clothes and wore a straw hat. He was handsome divinely so. He had long white hair, a lean body and a perfect face.

Yet again she couldn't care less about his appearance, because her heart—no her entire existence was throbbing, beating, thumping at the sight of him. Tears flowed fast and fierce. The feeling of longing increased to such a hight it was painful.

But she didn't care.

As she stared, she took one step forward, then another, then another until she was holding the bottom of her dress up and went into a full fledged run, as she did she cried and laughed a mixture of emotion she couldn't understand.

Until finally.

She reached him.

The man. The handsome man.

The man who made her feel this way.

The man who made her heart throb in pure love.

And once she reached him only one word left her mouth.

A word filled all her emotions. Everything bundled together into a single simple yet complex world.

"H-husband!?"
